A Study On The Spatial Writing Of Novels In Guilin Cultural City

“Guilin cultural city" is a unique phenomenon in the history of China’s Anti Japanese war.Because of the interweaving of Chiang Kai Shek,GUI clan and the Communist Party of China,Guilin cultural city has formed a relatively open and inclusive cultural space.In addition,a large number of exiled scholars and cultural institutions,newspapers and publishing houses moved in,Guilin cultural city became one of the most important cultural towns in the rear area during the war.The prosperity of culture and its characteristics of openness,integrity and progress,Guilin culture city literature is also an important starting point for the whole Anti Japanese War literature.The novels of Guilin cultural city play an important role in the literature of Guilin cultural city.There are many writers and works with high quality and great influence.At the same time,they can better reflect the change of writers’ mood and creation in wartime.The great changes in time and space and the general exile of writers in China during the war make the relationship between writers and their works and "space" more closely.Studying the novels of Guilin cultural city from the perspective of space writing is helpful to discover the wartime changes of writers and their works and explore their potential value.The main body of the thesis is expanded through the following four parts:The first chapter combs the great changes in the territory of Chinese Literature under the background of the national anti Japanese War,analyzes the formation of Guilin cultural city and its unique position in the Anti Japanese War period.This is the reason why we take Guilin culture city as the research object,and it is also the basis of the research on the novels of Guilin culture city.The second chapter focuses on the spatial appearance of Guilin cultural city novels.According to the main body and outstanding characteristics of Guilin culture city novels,the spatial features of Guilin culture city novels are divided into rural space,urban space and spiritual space,and the changes in the wartime background are discussed.It points out that compared with the novel creation in the early period of Anti Japanese War,its space presentation is closer to reality,more complex and complete.The third chapter discusses the relationship between the spatial writing and the narrative of the novel.The spatial writing of the novels of Guilin cultural city shows the complicated characters in the wartime background with its complex appearance,which makes the novels get rid of the characteristics of single and flat characterization;the spatial writing is also integrated into the novel narrative,controlling the narrative process and influencing the narrative structure of the novel.The fourth chapter analyzes the value and significance of spatial writing in the novels of Guilin cultural city.It is not only an expression of the deepening of spatial cognition of writers after their general exile,but also an important reason for the deepening of realism.At the same time,it is an important way of discourse and means of expression to expose criticism and record the history of the Anti Japanese war.Since the end of the 20 th century,there has been an eye-catching "space turn" in academic circles,and "space" has become the focus of attention.Based on the close relationship between writers,works and wartime space,with the perspective of "space writing" and the theoretical support of the relevant content of space narratology,it is helpful to carry out the research on the novels of Guilin cultural city.
