Daily advancement of New Media Technology has made the visual literacy— a vital part of media literacy— become the fundamental civic quality in the ear of visual culture communication.Clearly,schools are supposed to attach great importance to the cultivation of visual literacy in juvenile period,while many concerning obstacles still exist in primary and middle education for its short history.This essay begins with discussion of necessity and feasibility of visual literacy education,to define its theoretical boundaries and build its typical models.Moreover,combined with the visual-literacy education practice in J School,to summarize and refine its experience in objective designs,Experiential Learning method,space building,faculty selection,curriculum practice,platform providing,resources sharing and result assessment,and to gain several rules such as all around visual culture communication backgrounds and patterns of adolescents’ physical and mental development should be taken into consideration,together with all around-participation oriented patters,practice-oriented class and value-oriented resources choice when carrying out visual literacy education.Finally,this essay explore the possibility and feasibility of generalizing this pattern.
