The Interactive Influence Of Discourse-sentence Relationship And Third Person Anaphora In Modern Chinese Text

In the process of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,it is found that Foreign students who have many years of learning experience will have redundant or overomitted chapters when they express paragraphs.The main purpose of teaching Chinese as a second language is to cultivate the learners’ ability to communicate in Chinese,not only the ability to express appropriately,but also the ability to express sentences coherently into chapters.Based on Rhetorical Structure Theory and theory of Chinese Complex sentences,this paper uses Four Generations and other texts as corpus.This paper describes and analyzes the situation of discourse involving third-person anaphora in the corpus,and explores the interactive influence of cohesive relationships between discourse sentences and third-person anaphora.Find out its rules and characteristics,and make a little contribution to modern Chinese text research.Through the analysis and judgment of the corpus,it is found that there are 1014 cases involving third person anaphora in the corpus.The preliminary conclusions are as follows:(1)The proportion of third-person pronoun anaphora and third-person zero anaphora in conditional sentences is equal.The proportion of third-person pronoun anaphora is the largest in topic-comment,antithesis,interpretation and background sentences,and the proportion of third-person zero anaphora is the largest in causal,additive,sequential,concurrent and target sentences.(2)Among the sentences involved in the 10 inter-sentence relationships that affect third-person anaphora,the situation of the third-person anaphoric subject is much higher than that of the third-person anaphoric object.(3)The proportion of background sentences is the largest in the sentences with third-person nouns,the proportion of antithesis sentences is the largest in the sentences with third-person pronouns,and the proportion of sequence sentences is the largest in the sentences with third-person zeros.(4)Sequence sentences account for the largest proportion in the sentences with the third-person anaphoric subject,and cause-result sentences account for the largest proportion in the sentences with the thirdperson anaphoric object.
