| Prepositions are a large class of function words and occupy an essential position in the Chinese system. The directional prepositions "chao, xiang, wang" also have significant parts of speech in Chinese, which has also become a problematic point for foreign students to learn Chinese prepositions. The directional prepositions "chao, xiang, and wang" are similar and complex in semantics, grammar, and pragmatics.Besides, the Vietnamese "chao, xiang, and wang" are not one-to-one,makes Vietnamese teachers and students feel challenging and confusing to get these directional prepositions. This thesis selects three directional prepositions in Chinese "chao, xiang, wang" as the research object.Based on previous researches and through the method of comparative analysis and error analysis, this thesis find out the similarities and differences of these three words and conduct comparisons with the corresponding prepositions in the Vietnamese language like "(?)..." in semantics, grammar to find out the similarities and differences between them.Through the study of the survey results,I found that Vietnamese students often use the Chinese preposition "chao, xiang, wang" to omit,misuse,wrong-add,misorder,confuse Chinese characters,etc...Most of the reasons for these errors are due to the negative transfer of the mother tongue, the learning environment, and the Vietnamese students’ lack of confidence in the Chinese prepositions. From then on,we will propose some teaching suggestions for Vietnamese students based on these types of errors and sources of mistakes, and design teaching cases to allow students to better understand and master the directional prepositions in Chinese, and to quickly improve their Chinese level. |
