Studies On Public Reason Problem From The Context Of Community

Public reason is the public use of reason,the rational thinking mode of multiple subjects in the field of public ethics,the basis for establishing trust,communication,exchange and interaction among subjects in the public field,and the basis for making a common contract among subjects and putting it into practice.Now globalization is facing the threats of different conflicts of interest,COVID-19 is a typical representative of epidemics are eroding the globe,global climate change,natural disasters and other human causes of sudden unexpected events are spreading around the world,and impacting on the global society,such challenges and crises have forced human to rethink the path for future development.Since the 18 th national congress,China consistently emphasizes on the philosophical thought of "a community with a Shared future for mankind",which has provided Chinese wisdom and a Chinese plan for the survival of mankind in "harmonious coexistence".In the era of seeking a community of Shared future for mankind,this paper tries to find a joint point between public reason and community,to explore the question of what is the public reason required by the community and why is it necessary to construct the public reason in the community,step by step carry on the rational thinking and the discussion,in order to get a kind of normative social mechanism with consensus value and to build a global good social order.Firstly,this paper defines the concepts of rationality and public reason,and further discusses the basic characteristics,social functions and theoretical origins of public reason.Second,make a preliminary explanation of the dialectical unification relations of public reason and community,and on this basis continue to discuss the public reason problem within the framework of various types of community there may be advocated in today’s society,such as: political community advocated by the public reason as the political consensus,moral community advocated by the public reason as the common good,and the global community advocated by the public reason as consulting communication,and so on.Then,it discusses the threefold significance of constructing public reason in the community.Then,it puts forward the basic principles and methodological basis of the public reason to be constructed in the community framework.Finally,starting from Xi Jinping’s vision of a community with a Shared future for mankind,try to find out the principles and connotations of the public reason that our society needs to construct among different subjects in the new type of international relations.In today’s society,we should live in harmony with the rest of the world,fight for win-win results,and do not do to others what you do not want others to do to you.And in the epoch of globalization,different countries should reach a consensus that takes mutual respect,equally treating,win-win cooperation and common development for the orientation of public reason.Mankind coexists in one community of Shared future,thus,only by reaching the common rational consensus between the inter-subjectivity,and work together to overcome the crises and difficulties which the mankind facing,then to be able to make progress together in the same global village,otherwise the end would be double loss or the fish pond.
