The Change Of Bottle Flower’s Concepts

Bottle flower is one of the common themes in Chinese painting.The entry point of this article is in in the bottle flower of the Yuan Dynasty Qian Xuan’s "Chanting Poems at West Lake",and the Qing Dynasty Qianlong’s imitation for this painting and the schema changes,among which the literati evaluation could have some changes.This paper will mainly be discussed through three parts: the first part mainly revolves around the relationship between the bottle flowers and ancient literati,the style development of bottle flowers,vases and types of flowers are closely related to the moral pursuit of the literati,and explaining the Ming Dynasty bottle flower theory of the "taboo ring" origin.The second part is mainly based on the Qian Xuan’s "Chanting Poems at West Lake" and Qianlong’s "Imitation of Chanting Poems at West Lake" of the bottle flower pattern comparison,combining with the collections,to draw that "taboo ring" is not an absolute conclusion,but a comprehensive discussion of a variety of situations,expressing the preference of the literati to the flower ware.The third part combed the formation and development of the concept of the literary bottle flower from Song to Ming Dynasty,and put forward the differentiation of the theme of "the Festival’s and New Year’s Sacrifice" and "the Literati Worship".In the development process of the art of the literati bottle flower,there is still a spirit of righteousness and morality as the core.
