Arts Research On Cloisonne Type And Modeling

A few hundred years after European enamel technology was introduced into China,it quickly became a local culture of China,the cloisonne craft with Chinese characteristics.Cloisonne has extremely enriched styles with wide applications.China’s cloisonne which is an exquisite craftsmanship has been inherited,developed and innovated continuously in the long history.This research is a project on the types of cloisonné through literature search,analogy analysis and artifact investigation.This research explores the molding art characteristics of cloisonne in the Yuan,Ming and Qing dynasties,and analyzes the laws and reasons of cloisonne’s modeling in combination of historical,political,economic and cultural reasons,as well as the craftsmanship and shape characteristics of cloisonne in the Ming and Qing dynasties.At the same time,about the important reasons for the rapid development of the localization of cloisonné,this part is mainly based on the comparison of the shapes of cloisonne,bronze and porcelain,as well as the research on their molding processes.The next part is the research on the reason why antique stylies are still the main modeling until nowadays as well as the development after the founding of the PRC,using information research and the current enamel factories’ surveys.The final part is the conception and creation thoughts for the graduation design.This research hopes to explore the rules and characteristics of cloisonné in order to create new design on modern cloisonné by studying of cloisonne types.
