Research On Xunzi’s Socialization Thought

The formation of Xunzi’s socialized thought is closely related to the background of his time,the origin of his thought and his personal experience.Xunzi lived in the middle and later period of the Warring States period.At that time,the war of annexation between the great powers became more and more fierce,and the unification of the world became the general trend.On the one hand,there were a hundred schools of thought contending,on the other hand,they showed mutual integration.All these constitute the background of Xunzi’s social thought.In addition,in the course of his later travels around the world,Xun Kuang wrote books and theories,integrated the learning of hundreds of schools,and finally formed a unique social thought.Xunzi ’s socialized thought is based on his theoretical cognition.Xunzi’s thought of socialization originates from his view of nature and human nature,as well as his thought of "group" and "division".Xunzi thought that human nature is the nature of human nature,which is a kind of evil biology,that is,human nature is evil.The process of human socialization is the process of human being’s "changing nature into hypocrisy" in the process of "group living",that is,to dispel the evil of human nature through continuous learning and edification the day after tomorrow.It is precisely because of the dual nature of human nature that people can carry out the prerequisite of socialization.Xunzi’s goal of socialization of human beings is fundamentally to shape an ideal personality model according to the Confucian standard of "sages".For this reason,Xunzi put forward the concept of "adult".The so-called "adult" is to shape an ideal personality of "integrity" and "quintessence" with true knowledge(truth)of the society and pure moral character(good),which is the "sage" and "gentleman" advocated by Confucianism.This kind of personality type is actually the personality performance of the feudal society equal difference order which Xunzi paid attention to with "Rites" as the core.As for the socialization of human beings,Xunzi put forward three ways: first,active learning with long efforts.According to Xunzi,members of society can change the "evil" in human nature through active learning,persevere,and finally achieve the goalof "accumulating habits" and becoming saints.Second,the influence and guidance of wise teachers and friends.Xunzi believed that the influence of the Enlightenment of teachers and the benefit of friends can also transform human nature and turn evil into good.Third,the "gradual" practice of "Long Li Gui Yi".First of all,we should pay attention to the influence of "gradual" habit and "wrong annotation custom".In the process of pursuing "good",we need to "live in a certain place,choose a certain place,and travel in a certain place".Secondly,we should emphasize the value of rites and righteousness,and make human nature better through the education of rites and music.At the same time,for those who are not good at it,they should be forced to guide its nature and be punished.The characteristics of Xunzi’s socialized thought are as follows: first,it is based on the evil of human nature.It is precisely because of the evil human nature that the socialization of "turning nature into hypocrisy" becomes necessary;secondly,Xunzi believes that all Tu’s people can be Yao and Shun,and that all saints are equal,which makes their socialization goals have great attraction;thirdly,in the process of socialization,they also pay attention to both rites and laws,that is,they not only emphasize "accumulating rites and righteousness,respecting morality",but also advocate that they should be punished when necessary to show great humiliation,Use both etiquette and law.
