A Study On The Inheritance Status Of Tibetan Buddhism Of Luohou Monastery,Wutai Mountain

In the study of faith culture,inheritance is a basic and core concept compared with transmission.Only by clarifying the issue of inheritance can we examine and interpret the development of specific faith culture from an internal perspective.The inheritance of faith culture has its own complete system and elements.The interaction and dynamic balance of various elements in the system contribute to the orderly transmission and development of faith culture.As one of the three branches of Buddhism,Tibetan Buddhism is distinct and unique in religious cultural habitat and inheritance system.Tibetan Buddhism of Wutai Mountain,as an "enclave" for the outside development from the Tibetan Buddhism homeland,is a convergence point between Mongolian and Tibetan culture and Central Plains culture,playing an important role in history.As a representative monastery of Tibetan Buddhism,Luohou Monastery in Wutai Mountain shows more cultural inclusiveness and regional characteristics,while it is consistent with the gelug sect in religious philosophy in the Tibetan area.It also shows a productive debuggability between maintaining dharma lineage inheritance and environmental adaptation in history until nowadays.From the perspective of faith cultural inheritance,this study,on the basis of fully combing the research status of Tibetology and Tibetan Buddhism at home and abroad,takes the Luohou Monastery in Wutai Mountain as a case study,makes a preliminary discussion and evaluation on the inheritance status,and development of the monastery through the investigation and interpretation of the monastery inheritance field,inheritance content,inheritance methods and other aspects;and puts forward relevant suggestions on the development path of the inheritance of Tibetan Buddhism outside homeland.The first chapter summarizes the history of the important monasteries of Tibetan Buddhism in Wutai mountain,and clarifies the historical background of the Tibetan Buddhism inheritance of Luohou Monastery;The second,third and fourth chapters discuss the inheritance status and dilemma of Tibetan Buddhism in LuoHou Monastery from four aspects: inheritance of temple system,inheritance field(monastery buildings and statues),inheritance content and inheritance method;Chapter five,on the basis ofsummarizing the specific inheritance of Luohou Monastery,analyzes the internal and external causes of the problems in the inheritance of Tibetan Buddhism in Wutai mountain(or outside Tibetan Buddhism homeland),and puts forward the concepts of "inheritance chain" and "outside-homeland inheritance" in view of the difficulties faced by inheritance related,and responds to the full text in theory.The conclusion part discusses the full text from the theoretical and practical aspects,bring up initial thoughts by the outside-home inheritance and development of Tibetan Buddhism under the Chinese-styled religion.
