| Polysemy is a common phenomenon in Chinese. However, for the foreign students who learning Chinese, polysemy has always been a difficulty in Chinese teaching for its numerous meanings and complex collocations. The frame semantics theory was proposed by Fillmore. It has a lot of applications in dictionary compilation, language translation and language teaching, especially in observing the meanings of words. We can activate the relevant scenes from the meanings of the acquired words, and choose the corresponding frame from the knowledge system stored in the brain. The frame provides a new way to explain polysemy and synonyms. Therefore, this paper takes the frame semantics as the theoretical basis, and takes the common meanings of the polysemy verb "kai" as the research object.Through the analysis of the errors of "kai" in the " HSK Dynamic Composition Corpus of Beijing Language and Culture University",and uses the frame semantics to analyze the common meanings of "kai",the author tries to draw some research conclusions, and puts forward corresponding teaching suggestions. The paper is divided into four parts. The first part is the introduction, which mainly introduces the origin of the topic, the research status and research methods of the frame semantic theory and the verb "kai".The second part uses the frame semantic analysis method to analyze the four common meanings of "kai".The third part mainly organizes and analyzes the errors of "kai" in the "HSK Dynamic Composition Corpus of Beijing Language and Culture University",then summarizes several causes of errors.Based on the analysis of the previous two chapters, the fourth part puts forward some teaching suggestions for the polysemy verb "kai".It is hoped that these teaching suggestions can play a certain role in the specific Chinese classes for foreigners. |
