The Study Of Witch Dance In The Yin And Shang Dynasties

The Shang Dynasty is the second slave society after the Xia Dynasty,which is called the first peak period of bronze age by later generations.At the same time,it is also a period of witchcraft.The Shang Dynasty was a society that often migrated in the early and middle stages.Zhang Heng called it "the first eight after five".The first eight were the tribal societies that moved their capital before cheng tang,The last five is the move of the Shang dynasty after Cheng tang.The Yin Shang period was the later period of the Shang dynasty,it was the Shang king Pan Geng that eased the internal contradictions of the society and relocated the capital from Yin(now Qufu,Shandong)to Yin,and the capital of the Shang dynasty took root here for 273 years.The long-term stability of the capital contributed to the development of Yin Shang culture,politics,institutions,and life.At present,there are sacrificial marks and oracle bone on the excavated palace sites in Yin ruins,which are mostly related to the sacrificial rites in Shang dynasties.People in the Shang dynasties believed that all things have spirits,respect for ghosts,and lead the people to thing for gods.Before various activities,sacrifices were held first.There are also a variety of sacrificial objects,such as sacrificing mountains,rivers,ancestors,gods and so on.Among them,the people of Shang Dynasties mainly sacrificed their ancestors.There are also many media for communicating the deities in sacrifices,of which witch dance is an important part of sacrificial offerings.Witch dances in the Yin and Shang dynasties include Wan dance,Qi dance,<Da huo>,Zou dance,Yong dance,Martial arts dance,Feather dance,and Yu dance.This paper will take the research of historical documents and Oracle Bones inscriptions as the starting point,and take the witch dance as the key research object to explore the content and culture of the witch dance in the Shang Dynasties.This paper is divided into five parts: The first part is the introduction,which describes the research sources,research significance,research status,theoretical methods and innovation.The second part is the meaning of witch and dance and its development in the Yin dynasties.This part mainly provides a natural and human historical background for the following analysis of witch dance in this period.The third part is the main content of witch dance in Yin period.This part is mainly about the Wan Dance,Qi Dance,<DaHuo>,Zou Dance,Yong Dance,Martial Arts Dance,and Yu Dance of the Yin and Shang Sacrifice Sorcerer Dance.It is analyzed based on historical materials and archeologically unearthed items.Some witch dancers use props to dance,and some wear masks to dance.The functions of sorcery dance include dispelling ghosts,disasters,praying for blessings,praying for rain,asking questions,etc.Generally speaking,the main function is to pray for rain.The fourth part is the main function and function of witch dance in Yin Dynasty.Through the analysis,we can learn that the witch dance in the Yin Dynasties maintained the social stability and was the artistic product of social material production activities and social spirit,which restricted people’s fanatical behaviors.Its functions include political function,military function,cultural function and educational function.The fifth part is the contemporary value of witch dance in Yin period.This part analyzes the contemporary value of witch dance in Yin period in an objective way from the perspective of modern people,so that people can correctly understand this historical music and dance culture.Its value is first of all the historical value of the witch dance in the Yin and Shang Dynasties,based on the previous studies,and secondly,it provides precious historical materials for the contemporary Chinese dance creation,rich entertainment and colorful life,and provides a way to interpret the genetic code of the early human music and dance culture.Although it is difficult to reproduce the witchcraft dance in the Yin and Shang Dynasties,and there is no specific image to look up,some traces can be found from the literature and inscriptions as well as the historical and cultural background.The witch dance in the Yin Dynasties was an important means for the dynasty to maintain its rule.The content of witch dance comes from life and acts on life.The purpose of this paper is to analyze the content of the sorcery dance from the perspective of dance,combining history and art,as well as Li Zehou’s artistic aesthetic thought,so as to highlight the image of the dance art,and to analyze and discuss the value of sorcery dance in the contemporary period of Yin Dynasty.It is hoped that through the arrangement,analysis and research of witch dance in the Yin dynasties,it will provide people with supplementary research on witch dance in this period,and at the same time provide some reference for stage practice.
