| Complement is not only an important grammatical point in teaching Chinese as a foreign language,but also a difficult point for foreigners to learn Chinese.Teaching materials have a close relationship with teachers and learners.They are the most direct language learning tools for learners and have a direct impact on the whole teaching of Chinese as a foreign language."Boya Chinese","HANYU JIAOCHENGl" and "NEW PRACTICAL CHINESE READER TEXTBOOK" are quite typical and representative.Therefore,this paper takes these three sets of classic textbooks as the starting point,comprehensively and systematically sorts out the types of complements,complements arrangement and complements practice design in the three sets of textbooks.Firstly,the author reviews the previous researches on the types of complement,expounds the reasons for choosing three sets of teaching materials,and summarizes and introduces the types of complement in three sets of teaching materials.Secondly,the general analysis of the three sets of teaching materials in the complement.All the types of complements,such as state complements,possible complements,trend complements,definition of result complements,example sentences,sentence patterns and complements,are analyzed in this paper.And lists the specific positions of the appearing complements in each set of teaching materials,and compares the acquisition order of the complements with that of the teaching materials.Thirdly,the design of complement exercises in three sets of teaching materials is discussed.On the basis of a brief introduction of the types of language exercises and the design significance of the exercises,the paper compares and summarizes the types of the exercises in the three sets of teaching materials,and analyzes the shortcomings of the exercises.Finally,the conclusion is that:first,the arrangement of the grammatical points of complement should be comprehensive and clear.When arranging the grammatical points of complement,reflecting the logicality and hierarchy of grammar will help students to improve their understanding and grasp of the grammatical meaning of complement,thus reducing the chance of errors.Second,both quantity and quality are guaranteed.The arrangement of theexamples should not only ensure enough quantity,but also improve the quality of the examples,provide correct demonstration for students,and reduce the error rate in use.Thirdly,the practice of complement should be consistent with pertinence and effectiveness.The level of practice questions also affects students’ use of complement grammar points to a great extent.The writing of the exercises should be combined with pertinence and effectiveness to improve students’ grasp of complement grammar.Through the analysis and research on the types of complements,the arrangement of complements and the design of complements exercises of the three sets of teaching materials,it is not only possible to make Suggestions on the compilation of the current teaching materials and improve the compilation of the teaching materials and the grammar outline of TCSL,but also beneficial to the improvement of the teaching efficiency and the learning efficiency of Chinese learners. |
