Thai students in the“2+2”program are required to complete a 2-year study assignment and write a 5000-word graduation thesis on their own to earn a bachelor’s degree in Yunnan University.Its graduation thesis has the characteristics of Yunnan University,which is divided into two aspects: Introduction of Thai culture and literary creation.Among them,the introduction of Thai culture focuses on the investigation of students’ ability to translate Chinese and Thai language and their understanding of Chinese and Thai culture,and the literary creation focuses on the investigation of students’ mastery of Chinese language knowledge and use of language skills,can reflect the student’s Chinese writing ability more.This paper focuses on the study of the Thai students’ ability to use the language in their Chinese writing.This paper analyzes the graduation thesis of 42 Thai students and finds that there are some errors in the thesis,then,according the training objective of the syllabus for foreign students majoring in Chinese language in colleges and universities and the viewpoint of the monograph,combining with the errors,the author explains the language application ability of the study of Chinese writing ability in this paper,from the three aspects of accuracy,fluency and lexical complexity,and then through the dynamic comparison of multiple manuscripts of six Thai students’ essays,it was found that in the process of writing essays,the accuracy and fluency of language use ability were improved obviously,but the complexity of vocabulary remained unchanged.In addition,there are some problems in the thesis,such as "fossilization",the low level of vocabulary used,and partial colloquial speaking,etc.,there are some global errors such as incomplete components,misuse of adverbials,mixed sentence patterns and improper word order There are also partial errors in the misuse of auxiliary words,verbs,Nouns,modal particles and pronouns.Then the causes of these errors are analyzed,which are the negative transfer of mother tongue,the negative transfer of target language knowledge and the influence of students’ learning strategies.
