| In 2012,after the broadcast of A bite of China produced by CCTV documentary channel,it aroused heated discussion at home and abroad and set off a wave of people watching Food Documentaries,which was hailed as a "Milestone in the history of Chinese Documentary Communication" by the industry.Six years later,The Story Of Chuaner in exclusive broadcast station B.This is the first documentary with barbecue culture as the theme of delicacies in china.This documentary overturned the traditional production mode and narrative expression of Chinese food documentaries,which one became the only domestic documentary that specially recommended by the International Documentary Conference in that year.It has attracted heated discussions among countless netizens.This paper with the support of narrative theory and audio-visual language and other relevant theories,mainly uses the method of Film roll pieces and Text analysis to conduct a comparative study on the video texts of the first season of the two documentaries,so as to explore the commonalities and differences of their narratives.The first part of this paper is the introduction,which explains the source of the topic,the research content,purpose and significance,the research methods and ideas,and the relevant literature review.The second part describes the creative background and summarizes the narrative content of the two documentaries.The third part summarizes the narrative commonalities of the two films from the aspects of narrative focus,narrative space and narrative ethics.The fourth part analyzes the differences between the two films in narrative cultural function,narrative strategies and narrative image language by combining related theories of narratology and basic theories of audio-visual language.In the process of studying the commonness and differences,the paper classifies the narrative elements of the two films into categories,illustrates them with the corresponding image-text stories according to the different arguments,and interprets the relationship between the food and the characters through the stories of the characters.The fifth part reflects on the above contents,summarizes the root cause of the difference or commonness,and extracts the narrative value of the two films and the points worth learning from each other.In the new media era,food documentaries,as a type of documentaries with a large base of young audiences,need to be based on traditional culture,follow the trend of The Times,seek change in stability,and bring forth new. |
