Research On Oriental Cultural Elements In New Media Art

Eastern cultural elements and spiritual themes are an indispensable part of contemporary art,and new media art,as an art category developed in the context of contemporary art,also plays an important role.The author finds that in some new media art works with spiritual experience,the shadow of Oriental cultural elements can often be seen.Therefore,this paper will discuss the relationship between eastern cultural elements and spiritual experience in new media art,or more specifically,how eastern cultural elements evoke spiritual experience in new media art creation.The structure of this paper consists of four chapters.The first chapter is about the concepts related to the topic and the background.The two concepts that need to be sorted out are eastern cultural elements and spiritual experience respectively,with the purpose of defining the research scope of this paper.The second chapter sorts out the historical background between eastern cultural elements,spiritual experience and new media art,with the purpose of clarifying the origin and context of the three.In the third chapter,the author discusses several creative strategies of using Oriental cultural elements to evoke spiritual experience in new media art,including the manipulation of form and material,the manipulation of process,the manipulation of meaning and mind,and the comprehensive manipulation of the above means.The fourth chapter summarizes the enlightenment and thinking of the new media art creation brought to the author through the research of this topic,namely the creative direction of the mixing and recombination of Oriental cultural elements and digital means and the consideration of "digital spirituality".In the category of new media art,this paper discusses the creative strategy of using Oriental cultural elements to evoke spiritual experience.As this is a research on creative method,it is also expected to provide some theoretical guidance for my new media art creation practice.
