| Liu Yuxi is an outstanding statesman,thinker and writer in the middle Tang Dynasty.He has been to many places in his life and is deeply influenced by regional culture.In particular,Jiangnan culture,Chu culture,Lingnan culture and Bashu culture are the most representative.In Liu Yuxi’s poems,there are a lot of contents describing the regional cultural characteristics of Jiangnan,Jingchu,Lingnan and Bashu.At the same time,the regional culture of these areas also deeply affects Liu Yuxi’s poetry creation and mentality.In this paper,Liu Yuxi is placed in the context of the specific era of the middle Tang Dynasty,taking regional culture and literature as the starting point,to understand the relationship between regional culture and Liu Yuxi’s poetry comprehensively and dynamically.This paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the analysis of Liu Yuxi’s social life background and life thoughts.Times has influenced the living environment of the literati,and the thoughts formed on this basis.In the middle Tang Dynasty,when eunuch’s dictatorship and the separation of vassals and towns were very prominent,Liu Yuxi was determined to help the country and the people.Even though the chaotic and complicated political environment made him fall into political predicament and suffer hardship,he still persevered in his political pursuit and showed indomitable optimism.The second chapter introduces the influence of Jiangnan culture on Liu Yuxi.Liu Yuxi spent 18 years in Jiangnan during his youth.The beautiful natural environment,rich cultural atmosphere and prosperous economic strength in the south of the Yangtze River provided a good environment for Liu Yuxi’s growth and had a profound impact on his thoughts and talents.Wu Yue folk songs made outstanding contributions to Liu Yuxi’s poetry creation.The third chapter is the introduction of Chu culture and Liu Yuxi’s poetry creation.Liu Yuxi was demoted to Langzhou,where he lived for more than nine years.Chu worships witches,believes in gods,races,and steps on songs and other customs.The cultural image of ancient relics and scenery;The natural image of mountains andrivers and so on provided a broad material for his poetry creation.Qu Yuan’s patriotism and resentment had a great influence on his thoughts.In the face of difficulties,Liu Yuxi not only showed a sad and lonely prison mentality and feelings of sadness and indignation,but also expressed his persistent consciousness of the pursuit of ideals and the optimistic spirit of forge ahead.The fourth chapter is the introduction of Lingnan culture and Liu Yuxi’s poetry creation.Liu Yuxi was once again demoted to Lianzhou,where he lived for more than three years.The unique natural scenery of lingnan and the folk customs of other regions brought some comfort to liu yuxi,who created many poems reflecting the customs of lingnan mountains and rivers.Although Liu Yuxi was worried and resentful about his immortality,he did not give up his pursuit of life.He still cared about the people’s livelihood and aimed to serve the country.He adhered to his political ideal through political poetry creation,expressed his homesickness through singing among friends,and made outstanding contributions to Lingnan.The fifth chapter is the introduction of Bashu culture and Liu Yuxi’s poetry creation.Liu Yuxi had been relegated for many times.When he was relegated to Kuizhou again,his inner turmoil had been relatively reduced,and his psychology of bearing the pressure had been strengthened,and his mentality was gradually peaceful and calm.He felt the different natural scenery and life of Bashu,and wrote many poems about Bashu area,showing the unique regional scenery of Bashu,especially the creation of "Zhuzhi Ci". |
