Students with good attribution analysis not only stimulate, orient and maintain their English learning motivation, but also indirectly cultivate their interest in English learning. In the process of learning English, students will inevitably examine their own learning success and failure and conduct corresponding attribution analysis. However, due to the one-sidedness and blindness of students ’attribution, students will be mistakenly attributed to the quagmire of wrong attribution, affecting their learning English Negative emotions, which in turn leads to low interest in English learning. At this point, there is an urgent need to guide students to correct attribution in order to effectively cultivate and enhance students’ interest in learning English. But compared with urban primary schools, the status quo and interest in learning of students in rural small-scale schools with shortages of human, material and financial resources are more worrying. In order to solve the problem, this article uses a literature analysis, questionnaire survey, interview, classroom observation and other methods to conduct a sample survey on the current status of English learning interest among pupils in rural small-scale schools in T city from the perspective of attribution theory.Problems such as not lasting, serious differentiation, and low overall level.Investigating the cause, this article finds that the main problems in the cultivation of primary school students’ interest in English learning mainly stem from four factors: first, the student factor. It is mainly manifested in the unoptimistic attribution of English learning success and failure to pay enough attention to English learning.Second, the teacher factor. It is mainly manifested in the lack of establishing a correct English teaching attitude, improper education methods, poor English teaching methods, and neglecting the importance of correct attribution of students.Third, the school factor. It mainly manifests in the improper understanding of English thoughts and the limitation of English teaching resources.Fourth, family factors. It is mainly manifested in the absence of a position to supervise the student’s learning role.So far,in order to cultivate and enhance the interest of English learning in elementary school students in rural small-scale schools, this article uses attribution analysis as the basis, from "guiding students to understand the three-dimensional six-cause,cultivating interesting stages","guiding students to learn correct attribution and cultivating fun stages","Using the results of students’ learning success and failure, training the interest stage" and other levels to provide teachers with a feasible, necessary, and operable strategy to raise the interest of pupils in English learning, aiming to make the proposed strategy for teachers to train pupils As a reference for your interest in learning English.
