| Economic globalization has promoted the communication of cultures among various countries,and the movies and TV plays have become an important tool for cultural exchanges.In 2015,Zhenhuanzhuan was introduced to the United States and translated as Empresses in the Palace.The translations of the classical poems in subtitles of it have become a new perspective of study for scholars.And as a Chinese native translation theory,Eco-Traslatology also becomes more and more mature.Based on the theoretical framework of Eco-Translatology and the corpus of the classical poems in the subtitles of Empresses in the Palace,a comparative analysis method is used to analyze the similarities and differences between the official version and the online version of the translation of the subtitles.What is more,this thesis analyzed the classical poems from the Linguistic-Dimension,Cultural-Dimension and Communicative-Dimension and explored the most appreciate translation methods used during the translation.Through the analysis,the author concludes that in the process of translating classical poems in the subtitle of Empresses in the Palace,translators have adapted themselves to the translation environment by adapting to the Linguistic-Dimension,Cultural-Dimension and Communicative-Dimension.Comparing the official translation with the online translation,the author finds that the official translation is more acceptable to the audience than the online translation for its higher degree of Holistic Adaptation and Selection.In the official translation,different translation methods are used to translate the classical poems in the subtitles of Empresses in the Palace,such as Transliteration,Conversion,Free Translation,Literal Translation,Free Translation,Amplification,and so on,among which,Amplification and Conversion become the most used methods.Generally speaking,the official translation overcomes language barriers and cultural differences,thus helping the target language audience to appreciate the plots better.But there are some inevitable cultural and linguistic barriers that affect the audiences enjoying themselves during them watching. |
