Bai Juyi is one of the most representative literati in the literary world of the Tang Dynasty.His number of poems is second to none in the Tang Dynasty,and his poems have a wide range of themes,profound ideological content and distinctive artistic style,which has always been praised by later generations.In the process of his literary creation,Bai Juyi frequently quoted classics,especially Historical Records.Based on this,this paper takes Bai Juyi’s acceptance of Historical Records as the breakthrough point,and makes an in-depth study and analysis of the specific situation of acceptance.Examining Bai Juyi’s acceptance of Historical Records will help to deepen his understanding of Bai Juyi’s poems and further reveal the reasons for the formation of his historical writing and view.This paper is divided into four chapters.The first chapter is the background of Bai Juyi’s acceptance of Historical Records.This paper first discusses the environment and conditions for the spread and acceptance of historical records in Tang Dynasty,and concludes that the reason why historical records was widely spread in Tang Dynasty is closely related to the attention of rulers,the favor of historians and the pursuit of candidates.On this basis,from the social environment,family atmosphere and personal interest,this paper analyzes the reasons for Bai Juyi’s acceptance of Historical Records.The second chapter is the specific analysis of Bai Juyi’s quotation of Historical Records.This chapter makes statistics on the citation of Bai Juyi’s poems and articles to Historical Records.On the one hand,it is Bai Juyi’s citation of Sima Qian’s people and things,with a total of 13 relevant poems and articles.On the other hand,Bai Juyi’s poems directly quoted Historical Records,a total of 307,accounting for 10.17% of his total creation.There are two ways for Bai Juyi to quote Historical Records,one is matter allusion,the other is language allusion.The third chapter is Bai Juyi’s acceptance of Historical Records’ s literal method.Bai Juyi’s direct record of his poems and essays and his even beauty of CI are both the acceptance of historical records.It is the influence of Historical Records that forms Bai Juyi’s realistic writing style.In addition,Bai Juyi uses the artistic style of praise and satire to realize his political satire.Bai Juyi repeatedly pointed his satire at the rulers and the powerful people in the court,which shows that he made every effort to realize his determination to check the government with the help of poetry media.The fourth chapter is Bai Juyi’s acceptance of historical method in Historical Records.It mainly focuses on two aspects: one is the view of Heaven and Man,the other is the hermit view.Sima Qian’s consideration of the relationship between Heaven and Man and the issue of becoming an official in Historical Records has an indelible influence on Bai Juyi.Bai Juyi inherited Sima Qian’s view of Heaven and Man,which opposed alchemy and questioned destiny,and his hermit view..The latter provides guidance for Bai Juyi to conduct himself,especially after he was demoted for his loyalty.From Bai Juyi’s view of history,we can see his life wisdom and attitude.Through the study of Bai Juyi’s acceptance of Historical Records,this paper analyzes the internal relationship between Bai Juyi’s poetry and Historical Records,and finds out the important influence of Sima Qian’s Historical Records on Bai Juyi’s poetry creation,which is also of positive significance to clarify the formation process of Bai Juyi’s literal method and historical method.
