A Study On " Non-identifiable+Shuo" Of Modern Chinese In The Evidentiality

This paper mainly studies the syntactic,semantic and pragmatic characteristics of each member of “indefinite component + Shuo” under the category of communication.It also describes and summarizes the credibility,function and content of the evidentiality phrase such as the convenient type of “Youren Shuo(someone said)”,the opposite type of “Bieren Shuo(others said)”,the enhanced type of “Renjia Shuo(others said)”,“Dajia Shuo(everyone said)” and “Henduo Ren Shuo(many people said)”.On the basis of the above,this paper will focus on exploring the reasons that affect the speaker’s choice of different messengers in the process of evidentiality communication.There are five chapters totally:Chapter one: the study of the convenient type of the evidentiality phrase--“Youren Shuo(someone said)”.This chapter focuses on the analysis and induction of the syntactic,semantic and pragmatic features of “Youren Shuo(someone said)”.Grammatically,“Youren Shuo” is mainly used as an independent and adverbial.When“de(的)” is added after “Youren Shuo”,it can be used as an object.Semantically,this phrase shows the semantic features of [+ being] and [-inferable].Pragmatically,it mainly analyzes the situation that the messenger chooses “Youren Shuo” as the evidentiality messenger for the purpose of convenience,exemption and privacy protection.Chapter two: the study of the opposite type of the evidentiality phrase--“Bieren Shuo(others said)”.Syntactically,“Bieren Shuo” is mainly used as an independent and adverbial,and its position distribution is flexible,most of which are distributed at the beginning and in the sentence.The biggest difference in semantics is [+ opposition],in addition to [+ set] [-inferable];Pragmatically,in the process of communication,the phrase mainly considers the responsibility of the communicator and the subjective cognition of the evaluation of the communication.Chapter three: the study of the enhanced type of the evidentiality phrase--“Renjia Shuo(others said)”,Syntactically,this kind of phrase is consistent with other members;This kind of phrase has [+ represents] as a distinguishing feature.It can enhance the credibility of the message content in this way.Chapter four: the study of the enhanced type of the evidentiality phrase--“Dajia Shuo(everyone said)” and “Henduo Ren Shuo(many people said)”.the distinguishing feature of “Henduo Ren Shuo” and “Dajia Shuo” is [+ many].They can enhance the credibility of the message content in this way.In addition,this kind of phrase can also be used to avoid liability and express opinions.Chapter five: a contrastive study of the semantic and pragmatic features of the members.Semantically,this chapter focuses on the comparison of the subtle differences between the internal members in the definition of “source uncertainty”;pragmatically,this chapter compares the different features of members in terms of “evidentiality”,“evaluation” and “exemption”,thus summarizes the comprehensive reasons for the speaker to choose the corresponding communication language.
