| When Ye Lingfeng and other modernist writers who became famous in the 1930s and 1940s came to Hong Kong, they brought modernism.Since the wave of modernism was set off in the new trend of literature and art in the 1950s,the modernist novels of Liu Yixiang and Kunnan in the early 1960s and Xixi and Yesi in the 1970s have continued.Dung Kai-Cheung inherited the tradition of modernist novel writing in Hong Kong, and was also influenced by western writers such as Proust,Calvino,Aiko and Japanese writers such as Natsume Soseki and Kenzaburo Oe.He carried out cross-border writing experiments from the perspective of ancient and modern,East and West, and created a unique writing style. This paper uses the methods of text reading and comparative study to cross the subject boundaries and to look at the cross-border narrative characteristics of Dung Kai-Cheung’s novels from various perspectives and dimensions. The paper is divided into four chapters, which are analyzed from the perspectives of space-time cross-border,identity cross-border,discipline cross-border and stylistic cross-border.The first chapter analyzes Dung Kai-Cheung’s cross-border narrative characteristics from the perspective of crossing the boundary of time and space through close reading. The "V city" trilogy misplaces time and space from the perspective of future archaeologists, and turns the history of V city into an uncertain, possible and open space and time in nostalgia and expectation. With the crisscross and extension of time and space,Dung Kai-Cheung’s novels begin to transcend the regional limitations of"V city".His "natural history" trilogy uses the " skating rink across time and space "model to construct multiple possible time and space for the interaction of reality and imagination to explore the past and future possibilities of natural history and civilization history. The author discovers the possibility of social renewal and self salvation through the construction of space-time body spanning reality and imagination. The second chapter combs the characteristics of Dung Kai-Cheung’s cross-border narrative from the perspective of cross identity.Dung Kai-Cheung explored the history of urban development by opening up the boundary between human beings and objects.Secondly,by crossing the boundary of narrative identity,Dung Kai-Cheung shakes the authority of the author and explores the possibility of dialogue between the author and the characters. Finally, the author explores the possibility of cross-cultural communication by writing about the colonized and diaspora who cross cultural boundaries. The third chapter explores the characteristics of Dung Kai-Cheung’s cross-border narrative from an interdisciplinary perspective by means of comparative study and close reading.First, the author integrates scientific discourse into the text to achieve isomorphism, and changes the narrative structure of the novel with reference to physical optics and biological genetic structure.Secondly, the author expresses the inner feelings of the characters through their musical life, and integrates music techniques such as polyphony and counterpoint into the narrative form of the novel.Thirdly, the author innovates the narrative form of the novel by integrating the features of the drama, such as the concentration of conflicts, the distinctive personality of the characters,a large number of dialogues and monologues. The fourth chapter explores the characteristics of Dung Kai-Cheung’s cross-border narrative from the perspective of cross style. The author presents the complicated literary landscape by means of "simulation novel","fanshenglu" and interactive literature. On the one hand, the author gives full play to the advantages of various styles;on the other hand, the author explores more possibilities of various styles. The conclusion is based on the summary of the characteristics of Dung Kai-Cheung’s cross-border narrative, reflecting on the past literary writing and exploring various possibilities of literary writing.Dung Kai-Cheung constructed many possible worlds with complicated literary methods through interdisciplinary and cross stylistic narrative forms, expressed the possibility of the evolution of history, time and space, characters and human nature, and explored the "world mode" of "writing workshop".Therefore, literary works can cross the boundaries of culture, discipline and style, and open up a new path of literary writing. |
