The block-printed edition of Hong Wu Ping Yang Zhi was written in the 15 th year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty,and then it was published.The chapter number of Hong Wu Ping Yang Zhi is unknown,but there are only three volumes and nine chapters left.It has a fragmentary preface at the beginning of the book and includes 14 maps of some states and counties of Pingyang Prefecture in the early Ming Dynasty.However,so far,there are few scholars studing the book and the results are very limited.This paper aims to analyze the book detailedly and systematically in order to have a thorough understanding to the book.This paper is divided into six chapters:The first chaptert mainly discusses the compiling background,editor,chapter and process of writting book in order to analyse the situation of compilation of Hong Wu Ping Yang Zhi.According to textual research,the author of Hong Wu Ping Yang Zhi was not Zhang Chang,there should be the Er Xian Shou recorded in the preface of the book.According to the existing content,it could be inferred that the book had less than 20 chapters.After the completion of the book,it did not spread widely,and the catalogue of public and private collections of books in the Ming and Qing dynasties was rarely contained.The second chapter mainly analyzes the edition and content of Hong Wu Ping Yang Zhi,aiming to sort out the situation,content and sources of historical materials.By comparing it with Wan Li Ping Yang Fu Zhi from three aspects of style,content and map,it is easy to evaluate the value of the book as a whole.The third chapter mainly revises the contents of Hong Wu Ping Yang Zhi.The purpose of this part is to write from two places: one is to correct the errors in other local chronicles with the contents of this book,and the other is to correct the errors in this book.It can be seen that the collation value of Hong Wu Ping Yang Zhi is relatively limited.The fourth chapter mainly discusses the historical value of Hong Wu Ping Yang Zhi.The existing content of this book can provide important historical data for the study of the regional and administrative pattern,climatic environment and customs,belief culture and the changes of the regional temple system in Pingyang in the early Ming Dynasty,and its historical data value is relatively high.The fifth chapter mainly discusses the collection and supplementary value of Hong Wu Ping Yang Zhi.At present,eight kinds of old local chronicles of Pingyang Prefecture before the Ming Dynasty can be collected from this chronicles,and these old chronicles all perished in the middle and late Ming Dynasty.At the same time,this book contains a total of 240 temples in states and counties of Pingyang Prefecture in the early Ming Dynasty,which can supplement the lack of Shanxi Temple Da Quan.The sixth chapter mainly discusses the map historical data value of Hong Wu Ping Yang Zhi.In this book,there are 14 regional maps of Pingyang Prefecture in the early Ming Dynasty.This part mainly compares14 maps in Hong Wu Ping Yang Zhi with maps in five kinds of local chronicles of the Ming and Qing dynasties,and analyzes 14 maps’ characteristics and value.In addition,the map and the content are compared to identify the doubts between the two.
