The pipa art of Pinghu school has been impacted by literati for a long time,which has made it become a model of the academic music.Its artistic style is implicit,elegant,far-reaching and smooth,and it has spread for a long history due to its unique charm.It is unfortunate that the ancient pipa melody of Pinghu School-"Man General Order",is played by few people because its tuning and playing methods is difference from that of the modern habits of pipa performance.However,as one of the classical pipa works,it has its own artistic value so it is worthy further understanding,exploring,inheriting and developing.Around the21 st century,a "Chinese styled" "craze" was set off among composers.To keep pace with the times and promote the popularization of traditional pipa works,Pinghu School adapted some of the works and created them to chamber music.This dissertation will focus on the chamber musicial work-"Golden Armor and Jade Spear" created based on the pipa work of Pinghu school-"General Commander".It will analyze the formal evolution of Pinghu school works from solo performance to chamber music,in order to provide pratical experience for future performers and also provide a reference for future composers to create and adapt traditional genre works into new ensemble works of the chamber music.In addition,the author hopes this dissertation will help the majority of pipa players and fans see the forward-looking and expandability of the traditional pipa works in the development of the new era,arouse their attention to the learning of traditional genres,and deeply understood the sense of historical responsibility and mission that they needed to undertake.
