Perfectionists tend to set high standards for their own performance and find fault with their own behavior.There are two levels of perfectionism: normal perfectionism and Morbid perfectionism.Therefore,it has both positive and negative effects on human beings.Perfectionism can bring positive results,such as feelings of discipline,life satisfaction,self-esteem,and constructive striving.It can also have negative consequences,such as procrastination,sensitivity,Paranoia and all kinds of negative emotions,perfectionism is also common among students,involving academic performance,interpersonal relationships,employment and so on.they tend to set too high a standard and can’t tolerate any mistakes and failures.Therefore,They don’t adapt to that,and they have negative feelings about their physical and mental health,which can cause serious damage to their physical and mental health,which can lead to extreme actions such as self-injurying behavior and suicide.This paper focuses on the influence of perfectionism on negative emotions and its influencing factors.For many years,domestic and foreign literature on perfectionism has focused on the negative effects of negative perfectionism,but not all perfectionist individuals will produce negative emotions,so it can be inferred that there must be an unknown protective mechanism.As important positive psychological resources,From the perspective of positive psychology,it is of great practical significance to explore the mediating effect of self-acceptance and basic psychological needs in the relationship between perfectionism and negative emotional relationships.Explain the relationship between perfectionism and negative emotion and its internal mechanism,a chain mediation model of self-acceptance and basic psychological needs was constructed.A questionnaire survey was conducted among college students from 5universities in Sichuan Province and Chongqing Municipality.The quasi-perfectionism scale,the depression and anxiety stress scale,the unconditional self-acceptance scale and the self-validity scale are second-hand.A survey of basic psychological needs of 945 participants.The final results show that:(1)Perfectionism has great differences in gender,service cadre,father-son relationship and family economic status.Self-acceptance has great differences in gender,cadre relationship and parent-child relationship.There is a big difference between cadres’ negative feelings and their basic psychological needs,the father-son relationship,and the economic situation of their families.(2)Perfectionism,self-acceptance,basic psychological need and negative emotions were significantly correlated.(3)Positive self-acceptance,in part,mediates the differences between perfectionism and negative emotions,the basic psychological needs,in part mediates the differences between perfectionism and negative emotions.(4)Perfectionism differences influence negative emotions through the chain mediating effect of positive self-acceptance and basic psychological needs.
