| Speaking at the first session of the 12 th National People’s Congress,General Secretary Xi Jinping said,"To realize the Chinese dream is to realize national prosperity, national rejuvenation and people’s happiness." In an important speech to celebrate the 40 th anniversary of reform and opening up,he also pointed out that "we should let the people have more direct and tangible sense of gain, happiness and security." This shows that the government attaches great importance to national happiness. In recent years, the relationship between socioeconomic status and happiness has attracted a large number of researchers’ attention, but domestic researchers paied more attention to objective socioeconomic status, and still paied relatively little attention to subjective socioeconomic status.Based on social comparison theory and social support theory, this study focuses on the influence of individual subjective and objective socioeconomic status on subjective well-being(SWB)and their differences, and explores the influence of social support on SWB and its mediating effect. This paper consists of two studies:Research 1 uses the data of CGSS2015(Chinese General Social Survey in 2015)to study and analyze the core issue of this research, that is,the influence of subjective and objective socioeconomic status on SWB.The analysis results shows that: Firstly, both subjective and objective socioeconomic status have significant positive effects on SWB,and there are significant differences. That is,compared with objective socio-economic status, subjective socio-economic status has more influence on subjective well-being;Secondly,subjective socioeconomic status plays a mediating role between objective socioeconomic status and subjective well-being.Through Research I,the relationship between subjective and objective socioeconomic status and subjective well-being is grasped on the whole.Although the sample size of CGSS data is large, there are also problems such as relatively single index. Therefore,Research 2 is designed in this study. In Research 2,a more complete professional scale will be used to examine the relationship between subjective and objective socioeconomic status and subjective well-being.In Research 2,the general well-being scale(GWB),Mac Arthur ladder scale(SES),social support rating scale(SSRs)and basic information questionnaire have been used to explore the subjective and objective socioeconomic status, subjective well-being,social support and the relationship among them.A total of 669 questionnaires have been collected. The analysis results shows that: Firstly, both subjective and objective socioeconomic status have significant positive effects on SWB,and there are significant differences. That is,compared with objective socio-economic status, subjective socio-economic status has more influence on subjective well-being;Secondly,subjective socioeconomic status plays a mediating role between objective socioeconomic status and subjective well-being;Thirdly,with the higher the social support, the higher the SWB;Fourthly, social support plays an intermediary role between subjective socioeconomic status and SWB.Among them,in terms of the relationship between subjective and objective socioeconomic status and subjective well-being,the conclusion of Research 2 is basically consistent with that of Research 1.This paper makes a relatively clear conclusion on the relationship between subjective and objective socioeconomic status and SWB,deeply studies the influence of subjective and objective socioeconomic status on SWB and its differences, and proves that compared with objective socioeconomic status, subjective socioeconomic status can more affect individual SWB.At the same time, this paper also explores the influence of social support on SWB and the mediating role between socioeconomic status and SWB.This provides a certain reference for the development of operational interventions for individual SWB. |
