A Study On The Historical Literacy Of Song Dynasty And Tangut Historical Materials In Shui Shui Ji Wen

According to the author’s statistics,Su Shui Ji Wen has more than 70 entries involving historical events in Song dynasty and Tangut,accounting for about one-seventh of the total number of entries in the book.Since Li Jiqian rebelled against the Song Dynasty in the seventh year of the Taiping rejuvenation(982)until Song dynasty and Tangut was separated,the contradictions and conflicts between Song dynasty and Tangut and Song dynasty and Tangut continued.Therefore,the historical events of Song dynasty and Tangut recorded in Su Shui Ji Wen undoubtedly provide us with understanding of Song dynasty and Tangut history.A good entry point.In view of my limited academic ability and academic hours,based on the detailed textual research of some historical materials and clarification of relevant historical facts,this article found that Su shui Ji wen was "style and literature history" and focused on history.The material layout can be summarized as " Seven points of history,three points of blur";the singular and prose recording method of its writing is both personal style and subject to the nature of “Ji wen”;although the historical sources of Su shui Ji wen are different,it is mostly based on factual records.It is written in the pen;of course,some of Sima Guang’s personal perspective will inevitably be included in it.Undoubtedly,"Su Shui Ji Wen" left some precious letter history of Song dynasty and Tangut for later generations.For those characters who are extremely fluid in the historical process,Sima Guang places them in specific historical scenes as much as possible,and uses almost line-drawing techniques to show the distinctive personalities of these characters.Due to the Northern Song Dynasty’s policy of banning the revision of contemporary history,Sima Guang also tried to use some vague references to weaken the seriousness and accuracy of history,and cast the core of faith in history with the coat of trails.Therefore,compared to Sima Guang’s other historical works,Su Shui Ji Wen is undoubtedly more noteworthy,with more trivial narratives,more vague language,and more life-like atmosphere;compared to Wang Cheng’s style,which is more complete As far as Dong du Shi lue is concerned,the style of Su shui Ji wen is relatively fragmented and lacks the historical opportunity to form a complete history of the Northern Song Dynasty.Compared with Shen Kuo’s comprehensive notebook work Meng xi Bi Tan,it deliberately avoids some personal experiences.As far as the history of sharp conflict is concerned,the historical responsibility of Su shui Ji wen is undoubtedly stronger.
