A Report On Simulated Consecutive Interpreting From The Perspective Of Interpretive Theory

Affected by the epidemic in 2020,the global economy went down,and the Chinese economy was also affected.Wu Xiaobo’s 2021 Year-end Show “Predicting2021” reviewed the past year under the epidemic in 2020,analyzed the business environment in China,and investigated measures of enterprises and the opportunities as well as challenges faced by economic market after the epidemic.The report is based on the Chinese-English consecutive interpreting of Wu Xiaobo’s 2021 Year-end Show “Predicting 2021.The speech covers various fields,which requires the interpreter to have a wide range of knowledge.In addition,during the interpreting process,the interpreter encountered some difficulties,such as long and complex sentences,culture-loaded words,etc.Guided by the theory of interpreting,the interpreter made full use of different interpreting methods,such as omission,amplification,restructuring and paraphrase,to accurately express what the speaker wanted to express.This report does not only record the whole progress of the interpreting task and conduct case analysis in detail,but also put forward the corresponding interpreting methods.The interpreter hopes that this report can provide reference for financial interpreting.
