| As an independent discourse,the abstract plays an outline role in academic papers.At present,there are a lot of research achievements on the abstract of academic English papers at home and abroad.Most researchers,based on the theory of move analysis,pay attention to the macro structure and micro linguistic features of the abstract.However,the research related to abstract writing of Chinese academic papers is still very weak,and the existing research is mostly surface research,such as discussing the content of abstract writing,how to standardize,word number requirements,etc.,most of the suggestions for abstract writing are more general and abstract,and not practical.Therefore,this article selected Chinese international education professional two authoritative journal of Chinese teaching in the world and the language teaching and research,collected 508 abstracts during 2015~2019,based on Santos(1996)five-moves structure model and Hyland(2005)metadiscourse analysis model,analyzing the corpus from both macro and micro levels.The purpose of this paper is to summarize the structural characteristics,internal organization strategies,interpersonal interaction methods and language resources of abstracts in academic journals of TCSOL,so as to enrich the existing abstract category research and serve the teaching of Chinese academic paper writing.It is found that most abstracts contain two or three types of move in terms of their structural characteristics,of which the objective and the result are the important moves,while the background,method and conclusion are the optional ones.Abstracts of non-empirical articles,results and objectives are important,while background,method and conclusion are optional.Abstract of empirical articles,method and result are required,and the other three are optional.In addition,according to the statistics,there are four kinds of unconventional forms of move combination,move repetition,move reverse order and move circulation in the abstract,among which move combination,move repetition and move reverse order are more common and move circulation is rare.In terms of the use of metadiscourse at the textual level,the use of interactive metadiscourse is higher than that of interactional metadiscourse,which reflects that the main function of abstracts is to convey information,to show readers a clear paper structure,and to guide readers to understand the content of the article.The most commonly used interactive metadiscourse are transitions,accounting for 63%.The frame marker was the next,accounting for 16%.The evidentials and code glosses accounted for 8%,and the endophoric marker was the least,accounting for 5%.This shows that the structure of abstract text pays more attention to the internal logic and structure.The most commonly used interactive metadiscourse is self-mention,accounting for 40%.The boosters were the second,accounting for 3 9%.The hedges accounted for 20%,engagement markers were the least,accounting for 1%;Attitude markers are absent.This shows that the abstract pays more attention to academic objectivity and rigor when realizing interpersonal interaction.Based on the research results of this paper,the author believes that it is necessary to strengthen the foreign students’ awareness of the moves in teaching,so that the foreign students can clarify the structure of the abstract,and learn to use a variety of metadiscourse means to guide the readers to understand and accept the research results. |
