With the further globalization, intercultural communication among countries is becoming increasingly frequent. As a result, more and more attention has been paid to the translation of intercultural texts. This translation practice is about the E-C translation of Chapter 2 of Cross-cultural Communication, which tells of the unique relationship between culture and communication. The translation in this report is conducted under the guidance of Skopos Theory.Corresponding translation solutions are worked out to overcome the difficulties in the translation from three aspects of title, vocabulary and syntax, which are summarized in this report aiming to provide a reference for similar translation and further expand the application of Skopos Theory. The conclusion is as follows: the translation of intercultural communication text can follow the the principles of Skopos theory,so as to accurately convey the original meaning.Specifically, when translating titles, literal translation can be adopted;due to the sharp difference in ways of expression between English and Chinese,a translation strategy of combining literal translation with free translation can be applied to special cases that can not be translated literally. At lexical level,English sentences use other parts of speech often,so conversion can be adopted to flexibly convert the part-of-speech of certain words; When translating polysemy in English, the meaning can be adapted according to the context. At syntactic level, linear translation, reverse translation and division can be used to translate long sentences.
