In contemporary society,with the increasing of the degree of the economic globalization and the social wealth,the problem of human living condition and self-development has received growing concern,which caused people’s interests in Das Kapital.Whichever Marx’s works,it contained content about human emancipation,therefore this essay discusses Marx’s theory about human through analyzing the concept of human in Das Kapital.Although Das Kapital strikes us first as an economic work,it assembles Marx’s theory of human.In fact,its contents have the same strain as Marx’s early works,for he has been searching for a realistic way of human emancipation all his life.First,this essay starts from two attitudes towards Das Kapital and elaborates its philosophical core beneath its economic outfit.Some argued that it was an economic work and included Marx’s analysis about capitalist economics.While others argued that it contains rich philosophical connotation,for Marx revealed the relationship between human under the relationship between objects and alarms the proletarian and the working class to seek their self-consciousness and individual liberation.Marx’s works are always an entirety and never stop exploring human being.Those who insists that Das Kapital is a pure economic work fails to discover the critical feature of it.It contains a political-economic critique and thus gains its philosophical meaning.Then,this essay excavates the concept of human in Das Kapital on the basis of confirming its philosophical meaning.David Ricardo tried to justify capitalist society through economic person,however,he failed to fix his own theoretical gap or puzzle.Similarly,Hegel tried to find a reasonable solution for capitalist inner conflicts,but he turned human from a “cap” to an “idea”.On the contrary,Marx analyzed the capital in capitalist society based on the theory of classical economists and Hegel.He thought of capital as a collection of objects.Therefore,the real appearance of objects can be revealed through capital.Further,the social relationship between men covered by the relationship between can be uncovered.Marx summarized the entire argument in Das Kapital and articulated deeply about his theory of man through the critique on capital logic.Moreover,this essay analyzes statements on the way of human emancipation in Das Kapital.In capitalist society,men have been dominated by the abstract without awareness and the characteristic of capital has entirely taken the place of men’s individuality.Only through the capitalist way of production and placing the fact of men’s being dominated by the abstract in front of people,can their self-consciousness be achieved.However,it is not enough to evoke men’s self-awareness on conscious level.The alienation has already permeated into commodity,current and capital.Therefore,Das Kapital went further to criticize the three fetishes and aimed to gave men’s nature back to themselves.Eventually,it showed that through reconstructing individual ownership and eliminating private ownership,men’s individual liberation and real freedom can be achieved.Finally,this essay elaborates the contemporary meaning of the concept of man in Das Kapital.The basic contents of Das Kapital can be seen as a world view of expressing liberation and emancipation,the fundamental standpoint,opinions and methods of which have significant meaning to the socialist practice of Chinese characteristics in new era.Meanwhile,it is an expression of our time and the guiding light of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
