Research On The Creation Of Chinese Urban Theme Watercolor Painting

The basic concept of urban theme is to take urban landscape and urban life scene as the main object of observation.Since the reform and opening up,China’s economy,science,and technology develop at a high speed,cultural undertakings continue to flourish,and urbanization accelerates.The urban watercolor painting is more and more concerned by painters,gradually become the central theme of watercolor painting creation.There are a large number of urban watercolor paintings reflecting the urban landscape and urban life scenes from different perspectives,viewing from the 6th to 13 th National Art Exhibition Watercolor Paintings,the National Watercolor Painting Works Exhibition Paintings,as well as watercolor painting works in the National Youth Watercolor Exhibition and large-scale art exhibitions in various provinces and cities.However,there are few special theoretical studies on this aspect.Therefore,this thesis carries on the specialized theory research with this subject matter.This paper is composed of five parts.The first part is the introduction,elaborated research status of city theme watercolor painting,research significance,research content,and research method.The second part systematically combs the development status of Chinese urban watercolor paintings since 1912.It is divided into three stages:The first stage is an embryonic period of Chinese urban watercolor painting from1912 to 1949.The second stage is the development period of Chinese urban watercolor painting from 1949 to 1978.The third stage is the mature period of Chinese urban watercolor painting from 1978 to 2019.Before the reform and opening up,the manifestations of Chinese urban watercolor painting are mainly realistic.The subject matter is relatively single,and the individuality of the painters is not fully developed.After the reform and opening up,Chinese urban watercolor paintings have developed rapidly,showing a diversified development trend.The third part is the crucial part of the paper,which analyzes the artistic features of Chinese urban watercolor.In the course of development,Chinese urban watercolor paintings continue to inherit and innovate,inheriting and integrating the traditional Chinese painting ideas,drawing lessons from the western modern painting concepts.These works form the characteristics of the times,nationality,and region,broaden the scope of performance and enrich the spiritual connotation.The fourth part is the innovation of the paper.In the scope of urban theme,it analyzes the composition of Chinese urban watercolor painter groups from their forms of expression.The fifth part is to explore the development direction of Chinese urban watercolor painting creation.The main development direction is to present the natural beauty of the urban landscape and the humanistic feelings contained in the urban life scene.
