The Study Of Ci Poet Dong Rulong

There were many different schools of ci in the Qing Dynasty.Famous writers had emerged in large numbers during this period.Yangxian Ci School which was active in the early Qing Dynasty was a profound ci school.This school played a positive role in purging the flamboyant atmosphere of the ci circle and creating a new situation of Qing Ci.Dong Rulong was a promising young person of Yangxian Ci School.In his youth,he followed Chen Weisong,Xu Jiefeng and others to participate in poetry responsory activities in the heyday of Yangxian Ci School.In the later period,he returned from official travels and continued responding poems with colleagues in Yangxian.Dong Rulong was good at poetry and Confucian classics studies.His “Liu Tang Ci” is rich in content and has important research value.This article aims to analyze the value and significance of his poetry by studying the text of "Liu Tang Ci",Dong Rulong’s life and the development of Yangxian Ci School.We can also get a good knowledge of the creation of ci in the later period.The introduction part introduces the background and current research status of this subject.The first chapter sorts out Dong Rulong’s life and circle of friends and his life can be divided into four stages.His circle of friends includes not only the literati in Yangxian,but also the celebrities in other regions during the period of official travels.The second chapter analyzes the subject content of "Liu Tang Ci" and divides "Liu Tang Ci" into four parts: "lyric and narration","mountains and scenery","customs and festivals","intercourse and ci about paintings".Then this chapter carries out concrete analysis on each part.The third chapter analyzes the artistic characteristics of "Liu Tang Ci",Firstly "Liu Tang Ci" is sincere in spirit.The language is natural and intelligible.Secondly,the artistic conception of Dong Rulong’s ci is sad and sorrowful.The third is to introduce the writing techniques of poetry and ancient Chinese prose into ci,especially the comments.The last part is about Dong Rulong and Yangxian Ci School in the later period,we can explore the changes of the style and focus of late Yangxian literati group by studying Dong Rulong’s ci.Dong Rulong is good at expressing the true feelings in common words.Because Dong Rulong traveled to the southwest and suffered from wildness for many years,the implications of his ci were miserable.Dong Rulong’s ci depicting the scenery of Guizhou have unique characteristics,which add splendor to Yang Xian’s creation.The personality of Dong Rulong is straightforward,and his words are as sincere as his personality.Studying Dong Rulong’s poetry can enrich and expand the existing research results of Yangxian Ci School,and is of great significance to the study of Yangxian’s literati in the later period and the evolution of Yangxian’s ci style.
