A Study On Jiang Kui’s "Taking Poems As Ci" | | Posted on:2022-09-04 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:Y J Ma | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2505306332457834 | Subject:Ancient Chinese literature | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | “Taking poetry as Ci” is an important proposition in Ci Poetry and its influence almost runs through the whole history of Ci Poetry.Jiang Kui is one of important Ci writers in Song Dynasty of China,and his cognition of the style of ci and his creation of ci are closely related to "taking poetry as Ci".The paper first discusses the connotation and denotation of the proposition of "taking poetry as Ci".Then,based on the text and related materials,this paper discusses how Jiang Kui’s Ci "takes poetry as Ci" including the "poeticization" of Jiang Kui’s Ci and how Jiang Kui’s Ci does not lose its nature while being poetic.At last,on this basis,it evaluates the historical significance of Jiang Kui’s "taking poetry as Ci".The paper is divided into three chapters:Based on the previous research results,the first chapter discusses the connotation and generation of " taking poetry as Ci ".The author holds that in the development of Song Ci,the scholar-officials’ critical consciousness of the Ci Style has conflicted with the original characteristics of the ci style,which provides impetus for "mutual penetration of poetry and Ci ".Actually," taking poetry as Ci " is a reform of Ci Style.This reform argues that Ci and poem are both the genre of releasing emotions.The target of this reform is to change Ci style to be oriented by secular Aesthetics.Its essence is the change of stylistic functions and creative purposes,that is,from entertainment to expressing inner feelings.Then,this chapter talks about four forms of " taking poetry as Ci " in Tang Poetry and Song Ci.Finally,it shows the debate and confluence of the two viewpoints of breaking or maintaining the Ci-stylistic boundary in Song Dynasty,as well as Jiang Kui’s view of Ci style.Combined with Jiang Kui’s Ci poems,the second chapter introduces the connotation of Jiang Kui’s " taking poetry as Ci ".Baishi Ci shapes your spirit,expresses his heart,and conveys his feelings and aspirations by Ci poems.It’s the characteristics of “taking poetry as Ci”.Jiang Kui is good at music.Hence,Jiang Kui can break the musical shackles of the lyrics creation to establish a broad time and space structure in lyrics,integrate into the meaning of leisurely and profound sustenance,and make good use of "native language",so as to maintain the beauty of Ci style.Finally,this chapter discriminates the proposition of Bai Shi’s " taking poems as Ci ",and points out that the evolution between Jiang Kui and Jiangxi Poetry School does not lie in "poetic method",but a kind of poetic cultural psychology influenced by Neo-Confucianism.On the basis of the previous chapters,the third chapter shows the historical influence of Jiang Kui’s “taking poems as Ci”.Through the comparison of " taking poems as Ci " between Jiang Kui and Su Shi,this paper refers that Su Shi is the first to put up " taking poems as Ci ",and Jiang Kui is the most important diversion of this concept.By reviewing the criticism of Jiang’s ci in the theory of ci in Qing Dynasty,we will find that Jiang Kui’s "taking poetry as Ci" had an important influence on the resurrrection of Qing Ci and famous Ci writers in the late Qing Dynasty. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Jiang Kui, Baishi Ci, Taking poems as Ci, Su Shi, Breaking the Ci-stylistic boundary | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
