Virtual reality video is a new art form that has attracted much attention in recent years.Its special immersion and interactivity have brought a new experience for watching movies.Virtual reality images are a challenge to the simulated real world,where the visual guidance of the audience is the key to narrative.Therefore,how to better guide the audience’s attention becomes a great challenge for the creators of virtual reality image.At present,most researches on virtual reality image guidance systems are classified as a whole from the perspective of vision,hearing,and interaction.Among them,light and shadow guidance in visual guidance is the most widely used interactive application in virtual reality images.Due to its liberalized panoramic virtual space and the particularity of light and shadow,the current research on light and shadow guidance seldom considers the influence of spatial factors on the cause of guidance,and lacks in-depth research and systematic summary of the specific design methods of light and shadow guidance.This article takes the audience’s visual attention in virtual reality images as the core,and subdivides the types of points of interest in light and shadow guidance through spatial cognition,so as to help the audience watch the movie and assist the image narration.This topic first analyzes the characteristics of virtual reality images,and then discusses the viewers’ interest point from the perspectives of attention perception,guidance methods and spatial layout,and lists the common light and shadow guidance methods in VR images.The next step is to design a guidance methods based on spatial cognition theory and specific cases,while drawing on the audience’s "presence" in theatrical attention,summarize the four types of light and shadow guidance and subdivide their application scenario.Finally,the VR short film "Hello,Goodbye Mom"was designed and created according to different types of light and shadow guidance and visual guidance methods.The four types of light and shadow guidance were used in specific creations and their effects on visual guidance were explained.Then in the supplementary design,the dual guidance design method was proposed and the design experiment verified its guidance effect.
