| The author of this report selected NBA news published from January to May,2020 from ESPN.com,and it was the materials of this translation practice.The author of this report summarized the language features of the selected materials,under the guidance of the three rules of Skopos Theory put forward by Hans Vermeer,to study and explore the translation strategies,methods and techniques that can effectively solve the translation problems of vocabularies,syntax,texts and styles.Among them,it mainly solved the translation problems of abbreviations,coinages,terminologies and slang words in lexical level,long sentences and passive sentences in syntactic level,cohesion and coherence in textual level,colloquialization,metaphor and parallelism in stylistic level.This report was divided into five chapters.The first was the introduction.The second was the translation process.The third was the theoretical basis of analysis.The fourth was the case analysis.And the fifth was the conclusion.In addition,under the guidance of Skopos Theory,the author of this report analyzed the translation cases by adopting domestication,literal translation,addition,omission and other translation strategies,methods or techniques through the Chapter 4.This practice helped the author of this report to understand the practical significance of Skopos Theory in guiding NBA news translation,as well as the strategies,methods and techniques of translating this kind of text,so as to help the future translation. |
