Chinese idioms are short in form and rich in meaning.After a long period of practice,a lot of foreign students are interested in Chinese idioms,but because of the uniqueness of idioms,they meet many difficulties in the process of learning.Teaching materials are the basis of classroom activities.Textbooks define the tasks of teachers’ teaching and students’ learning.Textbooks play a key role in the process of teaching.The study of idiom compilation and selection in "Jump High-A Systematic Chinese Course·Intensive Reading Textbook" is conducive to standardizing the textbooks themselves,and is also conducive to teachers’ and students’ learning in a planned way,so that the textbooks can give full play to the functions of demonstration and education.This paper takes the idioms in the textbook "Jump High-A Systematic Chinese Course·Intensive Reading Textbook" as the research object,from the number,distribution,reproduction,interpretation and practice of idioms,carries on the investigation and research,analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the textbook in idiom compilation,in order to contribute to the construction of the textbook.This paper is divided into five parts:The introduction mainly introduces the research purpose and significance,research object,research status,research methods and ideas.The first chapter is about the statistics and analysis of idioms in "Jump High-A Systematic Chinese Course·Intensive Reading Textbook".This paper defines the number and distribution of idioms in the textbook,and makes a comparative study with the idioms in the authoritative syllables "classification of syllables and Chinese characters for International Education of Chinese language" and "outline of Chinese level vocabulary and Chinese characters",to investigate the usage of idioms in the textbook in the "survey on the use of Chinese mainstream Dynamic Circulation Corpus(DCC)" and the corpus of Beijing Language and Culture University(BCC)Present the situation,a comprehensive analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of idioms included in the textbook.The second chapter analyzes the arrangement of idioms in "Jump High-A Systematic Chinese Course·Intensive Reading Textbook".Through the statistics of the recurrence of idioms in the teaching materials,the interpretation and the setting of exercises in the teaching materials are investigated,and the advantages and disadvantages of the arrangement of idioms in the teaching materials are analyzed in detail.The third chapter makes statistics and Analysis on the types of idioms’ errors in the "Jump High-A Systematic Chinese Course Intensive Reading Textbook".The main body of the textbook is foreign students.Through the HSK dynamic composition corpus,this paper analyzes the errors of idioms in the textbook,summarizes the types of errors,and analyzes the causes of errors.The fourth chapter puts forward some suggestions on the arrangement and teaching of idioms.The ultimate goal of studying teaching materials is to better serve the classroom teaching.According to the previous analysis,this paper puts forward suggestions for the compilation of idioms in the teaching materials,and puts forward corresponding teaching strategies for TCFL teachers to better teach idioms in the teaching materials.This paper makes a detailed statistics and analysis of the idioms involved in the seven volumes of "Jump High-A Systematic Chinese Course·Intensive Reading Textbook" and puts forward some suggestions on the collection and compilation,so as to provide an effective reference for the improvement of idioms in TCFL textbooks and teachers’ teaching.
