The Construction Of China’s National Image By National Day Movies(2012-2020)

The National Day schedule has a strong ideological color in the current Chinese schedule,and the content displayed the national day movies is of great significance for the construction of China’s national image.The multi-dimensional display of national image in the film enriches people’s national imagination.In the long-term cultivation process,such national imagination becomes three-dimensional and becomes one of the important sources of national cohesion.As China’s film market matures,the audience’s cultural demand are also gradually increase,the performance of the National Day films in the past few years can meet the increasing cultural needs of the audience,whether can take to set up a real and full of theme color of the responsibility of the Chinese national image,the future should be how to develop a subject matter of the development of the National Day films.In the new communication environment,the national policy further clarifies the development direction of Chinese films,and the cultural communication tradition of domestic films provides the necessity of constructing the national image for National Day films.Furthermore,from the perspective of the concept of communication ceremony,it proves that the National Day film can construct the national image by constructing the carnival landscape,shaping the collective memory,arousing the national emotion and maintaining the value identity,which is theoretically feasible.On the basis of theoretical analysis of this study was carried out on the National Day films between 2012 and 2020 sampling,the content of the221 film sample for the selected analysis,image and national image construction from the history and culture,national diplomatic image and national image four dimensions about image rendering the content of the sample countries,and analyzes the content of the film’s propensity to the impact of the construction of national image.According to the results of content analysis,this paper conducts in-depth interviews with the interviewees,it is found that the selected films lack national spirit,imbalance in theme setting,lag in diplomatic image presentation,and aphasia and error of some national images in constructing national image.Based on this,this study proposes that the future National Day films should be based on realism in the construction of national image,to show the real national image;To tell Chinese stories and develop new theme films with the spirit of The Times;The theme of the film is balanced,and the discourse expression of various social groups is balanced.In the perspective of the film,both "great power feelings" and "civilian posture".In today’s communication environment,National Day films still face many deficiencies and challenges in the construction of national image.National Day films should play a cultural guiding role with their own schedule characteristics,and walk out of a new era of literary works development road with the breath and pulse of the country and the people.A multi-dimensional and deeply rooted national image can be constructed only in this way.
