Since the introduction of Theravada Buddhism into Xishuangbanna minority areas in Yunnan,it has had an important impact on the politics, economy, culture and other aspects of minority villages such as the Bulang and the Dai.In the process of historical evolution,it has become an important part of Bulang,The Dai and other minority cultures and one of the carriers of cultural inheritance. In the belief area of Theravada Buddhism in South China, there is a geographical spatial layout of one village with one temple or two villages with one temple. In essence,it is the construction and presentation of individual and collective belief space and their interactive relationship. With the development of economy, the change of social structure and the influence of other internal and external factors, the traditional interaction between villages and temples has been impacted both in content and form. The author takes this as the background to discuss the current situation of contemporary Bulang people’s Theravada Buddhism belief. This study selects Zhanglang Bulang village,Xiding Township,Menghai County,Xishuangbanna,Yunnan Province as the field survey point, and from the perspective of village temple interaction, explores the relationship between villages and temples, the religious life of Bulang people and the development status of Theravada Buddhism in Bulang village. The author obtains the first-hand information by using the field investigation method of participatory observation and case interview, and on the basis of the field investigation, from the perspective of religious sociology, combined with social interaction theory and social functionalism theory, describes and analyzes the interaction between the contemporary localized Theravada Buddhist temple and the Bulang Ethnic Group. The "interactive relationship" mentioned in this paper is a form of social relationship construction, which mainly refers to the interactive behavior and relationship construction between individuals or groups in Bulang village, such as people, people and Buddhist temples, villages and Buddhist temples.Taking this as the main research perspective, this paper makes a rational analysis of Bulang people’s Southern Buddhism belief system and religious life. This study holds that: firstly, from the perspective of village temple interaction, the localization of Theravada Buddhism is the result of the mutual adjustment between the operation system of Theravada Buddhism and the social structure of Bulang Ethnic Group, and its interactive form and content are affected by the economic, political, cultural and other factors of the village community;secondly, the interactive relationship between villages and temples is not immutable, and is affected by many factors, such as Zhanglang Bulang village As far as the village is concerned, the influence of economic factors is particularly prominent. The social structure adjustment caused by a series of factors, such as the prosperity of tea economy, the development of tourism and the construction of new countryside, has changed the interaction form between the traditional Bulang Ethnic Group and the Theravada Buddhism, which is reflected in the religious cognition of the contemporary Bulang people, the religious practice carried out by the community, and the adjustment of the Theravada Buddhism in adapting to the development of the region The research on the interaction and adaptability between Bulang Ethnic Group and Theravada Buddhism should be based on the dynamic development process of village temples, and dynamically understand and grasp the changes of social development, religious beliefs, living customs and other aspects of Bulang Ethnic Village.
