The inheritance and innovation of Chinese traditional culture is one of the most important contents of constructing Chinese cultural confidence.Young people have the responsibility of in-depth understanding and transmission of traditional culture.At present,traditional cultural products with high quality in the application market mostly focus on intangible cultural heritage techniques and historical relics,and there are few works with traditional thinking as the design object.This study takes the core thinking in Chinese traditional culture:Zhong-Yong,as the object of study,and carries on the design practice based on the Gamification theory,the Cognitive Schema and the Knowledge Visualization theory.The Zhong-Yong Thinking is expressed in an easily cognized way,which provides young people a product that can understand the Zhong-Yong Thinking quickly.Through user interviews and questionnaires,guided by Cognitive Schema,this study abstracts and summarizes the needs of users in the dimensions of motivation,control,tool,material and mentality,and summarizes the current status of users’cognition of the Zhong-Yong.Then,based on the user needs and the Gamification theory,combined with the Knowledge Visualization theory,the Visualization Design Model of the Zhong-Yong based on Gamification Theory is constructed,and the application strategy is put forward.The design model and design strategy is applied and verified through design practice.The design expression of the Zhong-Yong is completed in the form of mobile App design:first,the knowledge visualization design of Zhong-Yong is conducted;secondly,based on the Gamification theory,the visualization design of Zhong-Yong is integrated into the game mechanism,which delivers a traditional thinking app product whose experience is with low cognitive cost and strong interest;lastly,the design scheme is verified by ESM Experience Sampling Method).In summary,based on Gamification theory,combined with Cognitive Schema and Knowledge Visualization theory,this study takes the Zhong-Yong Thinking as the object to carry out app product design practice,which provides young people a product that can quickly understand the Zhong-Yong.The study is of practical significance to explore the inheritance and innovation of Chinese traditional thinking,and also provides reference for more designers who will design traditional thinking products in the future.
