Creation And Research Of The Picture Book "I Haven’t Forgotten You" Based On Emotional Design

With the aging of China’s population structure,the number of patients with Alzheimer’s disease is gradually increasing,but Alzheimer’s disease is still facing "three low"-low level of cognition,low rate of medical treatment and low proportion of receiving treatment.Picture books,as a medium of information transmission from the author to the readers,can popularize the relevant problems and difficulties in the life of patients with Alzheimer’s disease to the public,and enable the readers to obtain the corresponding emotional experience.At present,many scholars are studying the emotional design of picture books,trying to study the emotional design elements of an excellent picture book,but they have not deeply discussed how picture book elements convey information through emotional design,and there is no widely accepted standard to evaluate the emotional design effect of picture books.This paper will investigate the daily life and behavior of patients with Alzheimer’s disease,construct the emotional design model and evaluation index system of picture books,and design and create picture books that express the daily life of patients with Alzheimer’s disease from the first person perspective.This paper will study and think about how to convey information through emotional design of picture book design elements,how to convey information through emotional design of picture book design elements,build emotional design model of picture book,and discuss the design evaluation index system that can evaluate the effect of emotional design of picture book.Firstly,this paper investigates the daily life of patients with Alzheimer’s disease.The research includes the concept of Alzheimer’s disease,the main symptoms,daily behavior,care style and so on.Because picture books are just to express the life of patients with Alzheimer’s disease,the research on daily life can lay a foundation for the creation of picture books.Secondly,this paper constructs the emotional design model and evaluation index system of picture books.Based on the three-level theory of emotional design,this paper disassembles the design elements of picture books,constructs the emotional design model of picture books,and describes how the design elements of picture books transmit information through emotional design.The cover modeling,color,format,material,text expression,narrative expression and other elements of picture books are realized through the sensory perception of instinctive layer such as readers’ vision and touch,and the operation of behavioral layer such as page turning and reading,so as to transfer the information of picture books to the perception of readers’ reflection layer and wake up readers’ emotions.By extracting the emotional factor library for factor analysis,the evaluation index system of picture book emotional design is proposed,including design quality,story transmission,emotional arousal and so on.Finally,based on the research and analysis,this paper designs and creates a picture book to express the daily life of patients with Alzheimer’s disease from the perspective of the first person of the elderly.It shows the difficulties of patients in a day through metaphorical expression,arouses the public’s awareness of Alzheimer’s disease,and calls for care,company and attention to the elderly.Based on the team’s years of innovative projects for the elderly and the practical experience of the product design workshop for the elderly,this paper designs and creates a picture book for Alzheimer’s disease,I have not forgotten you,which embodies the emotional design in the design content of the picture book,and at the same time,popularizes the daily performance of Alzheimer’s patients to the society.
