| As early as 1998,Yu Xiuhua began to write poetry. In her interview, she mentioned that she liked classical poetry from an early age,and this long-term self-cultivation of poetry turned into a more mature writing skill in her works.Among them, the clever use of images is one of the highlights of her poetic skills. However, this point has not been paid enough attention in current research. Therefore, this paper will take the moon image, one of the most important images in her poems,as the research object, and use the methods of close reading and comparative study to see through the spiritual world and artistic characteristics of her poems from four aspects: symbolic meaning, combination structure, aesthetic characteristics and modern transformation of classical poetry,so as to improve people’s understanding of her poems. This paper is divided into four chapters:In this paper, the first chapter mainly reveals the symbolic connotation of the moon image in Yu Xiuhua’s poems.Through the preliminary induction and analysis of the moon images in her poems, the author can roughly sum up three states, namely, the waning moon, the cold moon and the bright moon. The reason is that the appearance of the moon image in these three states is mainly related to the poet’s own life experience and spiritual pursuit.Specifically, the waning moon is a metaphor, which represents an incomplete body. The cold moon is a reflection of spiritual nothingness, while the bright moon represents the pursuit and belief of love.It can be said that these three images of moon in different states just symbolize the three levels of the spiritual world in her poems: fragmentation, nothingness and belief in love. This is a hierarchical world, which coexists, and our poets are swimming in it,not confined to a certain level of logic, which presents rich and moving emotional power. In the second chapter, the author analyzes the combined structure of moon images in her poems. From the perspective of the combination structure of images, they are mostly carried out in a rhythm of beating between dynamic and static, light and dark, and adopt an extraordinary combination mode of images. This rhythm gap brings a feeling of emotional imbalance, while the unconventional image combination makes the moon deform and has a strong sense of absurdity. The absurdity and imbalance of the image of the moon express the imbalance brought by disability to Yu Xiuhua, namely the imbalance of spirit and flesh and the imbalance of emotion. In the third chapter, the aesthetic features and functions of the moon image in poetry are discussed.Firstly, the author analyzes the attributes of eternity and the coexistence of moonlight and night of the moon itself, and discusses how Yu Xiuhua made the moon play its unique aesthetic features and functions on this basis: her emphasis on the eternity of the moon and the coexistence of moonlight and darkness in her poetry made the moon image show the aesthetic characteristics of time solidification and space obscurity, which rendered a sense of destiny and a wonderful aesthetic atmosphere in her poetry. In the fourth chapter, the author explores the modern transformation of classical poetry of the moon image.First of all,in terms of the two themes of expressing homesickness and thinking, she conformed to the poetic appeal of the people for the moon and homesickness and the moon and thinking, which was accumulated by thousands of years of culture. On this basis, she put the image of the moon in the modern context, and incorporated some reflections, including reflections on the decline of native land in the new era and the accompanying spiritual crisis of gradual alienation between people and their hometown, thus completing the poetic writing of modern experience. In a word, the study of the moon image in Yu Xiuhua’s poems reveals her pursuit of poetic expression of self-life experience, and shows the possibility of poetry returning to the masses, reality and tradition.Admittedly, there are still many problems in her writing, including the lack of refinement of some languages and excessive consumption of self-sentimentality.However,in today’s impetuous poetry writing environment,it is more valuable to explore the poetic part of her poetry and guide the poetry writers to return to the pursuit of poetry. |
