Research On The Asymmetry Of Chinese Locative Words "Nei" And "Wai" From The Perspective Of Teaching Chinese As A Foreign Language

The distribution of a group of antonyms in Chinese locative words is usually asymmetric.In teaching Chinese as a foreign language,are foreign students’ acquisition of Chinese locative words affected by its asymmetry,and how?What should we pay attention to in compiling textbooks and teaching Chinese as a foreign language?This study takes the Chinese locative words "Nei" and "Wai" as examples to study the above problems.First of all,this paper discusses "Nei" and "Wai" from three aspects:orientation,symmetry and asymmetry.It is found that:1.The asymmetry of "Nei" and "Wai" exists in the structural form and phrase level.2.At the level of structural form,the asymmetry is mainly caused by the lack of structure.3.At the phrase level,the asymmetry is mainly caused by the combination of nouns and "Nei" and "Wai"Secondly,by sorting out the errors in HSK dynamic composition corpus,this paper analyzes the types of errors and designs a questionnaire(n=35)according to the results of ontology discussion.Based on the data analysis,it is found that:1.The asymmetry of "inside" and"outside" has a negative impact on the acquisition of foreign students;2.The asymmetry of structural form is greater than that of phrase,and the asymmetry caused by the lack of form has the greatest impact on the acquisition of foreign students;3.At the phrase level,compared with the asymmetry of other collocations,the asymmetry of "inside" and"outside" has a negative impact on the acquisition of foreign students The symmetry of collocation with nouns(referring to physical space)has a greater negative impact on foreign students.Finally,based on the conclusions of the questionnaire survey,the following suggestions are put forward for textbook compilation and classroom teaching:1.Expand the meaning and collocation of "inside" and "outside" in textbook compilation,add examples and exercises;2.Solve the negative influence caused by the lack of asymmetry of structure form by organizing induction and review and elaborating cultural factors in classroom teaching;3.Solve the problem by situational teaching method and game method The collocation of "Nei","Wai" and nouns(referring to physical space)has a negative impact on foreign students.
