"Shan Hai Jing" Strange Bird Image Animation Design

As one of the famous classics in Chinese traditional culture,"Shanhai Classic" was written relatively early,covering a wide range of hydrology,topography,animals,plants,minerals,medicines and even sacrifices.It was hailed as an ancient Chinese encyclopedia.Therefore,Shanhai Classic has been recognized by the academic community as extremely valuable,and there have been endless researches on Shanhai Classic in China and overseas.On the other hand,the odd birds and the combination of humans and beasts described in the Shanhai Classic are often full of imagination and seem absurd,especially the odd birds,which have variable modeling characteristics and become one of the sources of materials such as novels,games,and movies.Taking the record of the odd bird in the "Shanhai Classic" as a starting point,combined with modern art expressions such as animation,it shows a new interpretation and social design of the artistic image of classic literary works,so as to enrich the expression form of the classic artistic image of Chinese traditional culture.Through studying the domestic and foreign research status and results of "Shan Hai Classic",as well as the original documents and illustrations of "Shanhai Classic",we systematically sort out and analyze the images of strange birds in "Shanhai Classic".From the perspective of modern biology,analyze and trace the characteristics of the odd bird species;from the perspective of animation art techniques,analyze and summarize the image of the odd bird in the book,extract its typical design elements,and provide the basis for subsequent design practice;through understanding domestic The character design ideas and aesthetic highlights of animation works,game characters that have a wide range of influence and praise from the outside world are combined with the typical "mountain and sea by strange birds" image characteristics obtained from the above analysis to design animation,and the trendy aesthetic concepts are integrated into the ancient strange bird art image Odd bird animation image design and a series of animation derivatives.A total of 8 typical odd bird cartoon image designs were created and the final effect sketches were given one by one,including Chen Yun,Big Owl,Luan Bird,Bai Yun,Su Yu,Qing Geng,Bi Fang and Phoenix.Designed dozens of related animation derivatives,including posters,keychains,bookmarks,mobile phone cases,mouse pads,etc.with these images.Through the analysis and interpretation of the strange bird image of "Shanhai Classic" and the animation re-creation,the spread of traditional culture and the outer edge of art have been enhanced,and the visual language that conforms to the aesthetics of modern people has been integrated into the classic image of Chinese traditional culture,making the "Shanhai Classic" more capable infectivity and influence.
