| Since the 1990 s,with the rapid development of science and technology,economic globalization has entered the fast track of high-speed development.In the wave of globalization,Chinese enterprises’ demand for foreign advanced technology and foreign enterprises’ demand for Chinese huge market have promoted the continuous expansion and deepening of cooperation between Chinese and foreign enterprises.Cooperation is accompanied by continuous communication between China and foreign countries.However,if communication continues,cooperation will continue;If the communication stops,the cooperation will be terminated.We also often hear cases where cultural differences lead to poor communication and cooperation failure.For example,Wal-mart of the United States retreated from Germany market,Beijing capital steel company had a huge lost when it bought Peruvian iron ore,and Marks & Spencer of the United Kingdom withdrew from China.Therefore,how to deal with cultural differences in communication and how to achieve effective intercultural communication have increasingly become the subject that enterprises need to study deeply in transnational cooperation.This thesis uses the case study method to carry on the research to ME company,a daughter company of a German company.This paper makes an in-depth discussion on the intercultural communication conflicts encountered by the author at work.This paper uses the theory of national cultural dimension and the theory of high context and low context culture to find the deep cultural reasons for the conflicts of intercultural communication.This paper gives some advices to solve the intercultural communication problems of ME company.This thesis has mastered the current situation of Cross-cultural communication in ME company through questionnaire survey.Through in-depth analysis of the questionnaire,the main reasons for ME company’s have been found out.Firstly,unconscious self-cultural center in communication.Secondly,semantic difference caused by non-native language.Thirdly,Staffs did not know there are some differences between Chinese cultural and Germany cultural and did not recognize how huge impact of such differences on communication.Fourthly,too many communication chains.Fifthly,unplanned during communication and non-standard documents.Advices of intercultural communication for ME company: Firstly,Language training and Cultural training.Secondly,Build a short commination network.Thirdly,Standard document including all information.The conclusions of this thesis can provide theoretical support for ME company to build a Cross-cultural communication method,and also provide reference for other companies. |
