The act of maintaining social equity norms in real life is mainly carried out by second-party victims and third-party bystanders in the event.Compared with the second party,as a third party that is not involved in the event,it is better to see the nature of the event. This altruism, which is maintained by third parties in the maintenance of social equity norms,is often achieved through punishment or compensation. In the daily life, people who violate the norms of social justice are sometimes relatives and friends. If the social distance between a person who violates the norms of social equity and a third-party changes, how will the third party maintain social equity? This study is intended to explore this issue.Using the experimental paradigm of situational dictator game, this study explores the effect of social distance on third-party altruistic behavior and the regulation of anonymity through three studies.Based on the multi-choice task, study Ⅰ examines the influence of social distance on thirdparty altruise behavior. The three experiments of study II are based on the single-choice task, and on the basis of the study one,the specific effects of social distance on third-party altrusion behavior are further examined.Study III examines the regulation of anonymity by manipulating the level of anonymity. The main conclusions of the study are as follows:(1)In the face of violations of social justice norms, when dictators are good friends of social proximity, third parties are more inclined to act between action and inaction than stranger dictators.(2)The closer the society is to the same degree of violation of social equity, the more third parties choose to compensate the victim(and the compensation is stronger),and the less selective punishment of the dictator(and the less punitive penalty);(3)At the same social distance, the higher the anonymity, the more the third party tends to maintain social norms by means of punishment(and the punishment is strong);when facing the dictator of lovers, regardless of anonymity, the third party chooses to compensate to maintain Social norms. This research not only enriches the research of third-party altruistic behavior, but also has certain practical significance. It provides a theoretical basis for interpersonal communication, internal organization and investigation of public opinion.
