The Uyghur Proverbs In Analogy Rhetorical Devices And Their Translation Methods

The rhetorical devices used in proverbs can make the expressions more interesting and humorous to furthermore let it form its own unique style and always radiate a unique linguistic charm.Usually,the analogy rhetorical device mainly consists of simulacra,noumenon and analogy words.Generally,the noumenon does not appear.The selection of simulacra and the application of analogy words in Uygur proverbs make the images more vivid and profound lessons simpler and clearer.This paper,here,selects Uyghur proverbs in analogy rhetorical devices as the analyzed material.For proverbs in analogy rhetorical devices are various in sentence types and structures as well as sufficient and changeable in semantic contents,it is universally recognized that it will be much faster and easier to master the characteristics of the analogy rhetorical device and understand the deep meanings of Uyghur proverbs by analyzing its sentence structures,semantic types and its corresponding translating methods.In this paper,one hundred and forty seven proverbs in analogy rhetorical device are collected based on the book “the Chinese and Uyghur Contrast on Uyghur Proverbs”.This paper is composed of five parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly discusses the basis and significance of the topic selection.It summarizes the research status of rhetoric devices at home and abroad and the relevant research status of rhetoric devices in Uygur proverbs.Furtherly,it introduces the source of corpus and research methods,and meanwhile,defines the relevant concepts in this paper.The second part classifies and analyzes the structural characteristics of the analogy rhetorical devices in Uygur proverbs from the perspective of single and complex sentences.The third part,from the semantic point of view,divides proverbs in analogy rhetorical devices into comprehensive proverbs and combinatorial proverbs.Its main semantic features are analyzed and summarized afterwards.The fourth part sorts and generalizes the translation methods of the analogy rhetorical devices occurred in Uyghur proverbs from the perspective of structural and semantic features.The last part is the conclusion,which summarizes the conclusion of this paper.
