This essay is based on two materials:the report made by Chairman Xi Jinping at the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China(hereinafter referred to as 19th NCCPC),which collected in the 19th NCCPC Report Guiding Book published in December 2017;and the Uygur translation of the report by China Ethnic Language Translation Bureau.Basing on these two materials and studies made by other scholars on the words featured with Chinese characteristics and their translation,this essay defined and categorized the Chinese characteristics-loaded words appeared in the 19th NCCPC Report.Also,the essay accurately captured the abundant politics culture connotation reside in such words.This essay includes four sections.The first part is the introduction,including the research status,the purpose and significance of the research and corpus description.The second part refers to the definition and classification of Chinese characteristic words with reference to the existing achievements,and then analyzes the Chinese characteristic words in Chinese corpus.The third part is the focal point of this article.On the basis of summarizing and sorting out the Chinese characteristic words in the 19th NCCPC Report,by using“Functional Equivalence”theory proposed by Eugene A.Nida as theory guidance.Starting from the ways and skills of translation,the essay tried to identify the methods and strategies adopted by the Uygur translation of the special words and presented the explanation of why such methods and strategies were used with the help of the above-mentioned theory.The fourth part is the conclusion,which summarizes the whole thesis.
