On The Writing Of Women’s Suffering In Xiao Hong’s Novels

Xiao Hong is a talented female writer in the modern and contemporary literary circles of China.In her short life,she has devoted herself to creating works with her own temperament and speaking her own words.Throughout Xiao Hong’s life,it was entirely composed of suffering,in which she was mentally and physically exhausted,repeatedly chewing the bitter taste of the loss of the spiritual home.As a writer,Xiao Hong and licking their wounds,one side will look at the underlying female writing,observe their suffering in the survival and marriage situation,show them in the patriarchal and feudal ethics under the weight of the spirit of the posture,to give these women ultimate concern,at the same time,through these writing constantly understand suffering,Xiao Hong to realize suffering is difficult to eliminate,warmth and love as a realization of the pursuit of spirit of redemption.Taking the female suffering in Xiao Hong’s novels as the research object,this paper uses the methods of social and historical criticism,feminist criticism,close reading and generalization to analyze several dimensions of female suffering and women’s spiritual attitude,so as to better grasp the important value and significance of Xiao Hong’s female suffering.The paper is divided into six parts: the first part is the introduction,focusing on the research background and significance of the topic,sorting out the relevant research review,and clarifying the research methods of the paper.The second part analyzes one by one the causes of women’s suffering.External factors,such as the introduction of women’s liberation thoughts in the may fourth period,the Anti-Japanese War in the 1930 s and 1940 s of the last century,and the contacts with Lu Xun and other scholars,had important influences on the formation of Xiao Hong’s female suffering consciousness.The internal reason is mainly Xiao Hong’s personal experience and life experience.In the third part,the thesis elaborates on the two main dimensions of women’s suffering: survival(poverty,war,disease)and marriage(marriage,fertility,love)through close reading.In the fourth part,the thesis will analyze the different mental postures of women under the great suffering.One kind of women in Xiao Hong’s works is the numbed and painful individual suffering,and the other kind is the group that inflicts cruel hardship on its own female group.In addition,a small number of women,represented by Wang Po,are fighting to face the ensuing suffering.The fifth part discusses the value of Xiao Hong’s female suffering writing.In her early works,Xiao Hong revealed more about the harm caused by patriarchal society and feudal ethics to women,and showed her ultimate concern for their fate by writing about the real situation of women.In her later works,Xiao Hong integrated her own philosophy on human life existence and value into herworks,which was the end point of her search for redemption.In the concluding part,the author makes an overall summary and summary on the writing of Xiao Hong’s female suffering.
