A Study On The Dimensional Translation Of Conceptual Metaphor In 《Camel Xiangzi》

Concept to the rhetoric metaphor breaks through traditional science regard metaphor as a linguistic phenomenon and the limitations of rhetoric,to explore from the Angle of cognitive metaphor,think that metaphor is not only a linguistic phenomenon,but also a cognitive means and ways of thinking,is that people will experience of a particular field used to explain or understand another field experience of a kind of cognitive activity.This paper put forward by lakoff’s conceptual metaphor theory as a foundation,taking the characteristics of three types of metaphor in the conceptual metaphor as reference,using literature research,description and interpretation method of combining research methods,summarizes classification of metaphor in 《 camel xiangzi,》 aims to explore different types of metaphor translation in literary works.This paper is divided into five parts:The first part of the introduction part is divided into four parts,first,this paper expounds the basis of selected topic,the research significance,research ideas and research methods,the points of the conceptual metaphor and conceptual metaphor at home and abroad,the translation,Chinese metaphor of d and the research status quo of metaphor translation in 《camel xiangzi,》 and finally discusses the essence of conceptual metaphor theory,working mechanism and classification.In the second part,according to the three types of conceptual metaphor put forward by rackoff,the metaphor in the novel is divided into spatial metaphor,structural metaphor and ontological metaphor,and different types of metaphor are interpreted and analyzed.The third part summarizes the translation methods adopted by translators when dealing with different types of metaphors based on the typical metaphor translation in the translation.Literal translation,free translation and ellipsis are used to deal with spatial metaphor.Literal translation and free translation are adopted in translating structural metaphors.Literal translation,free translation and substitution are adopted in the translation of ontological metaphor.The fourth part,based on the analysis of the previous chapters,explores the factors that influence the translation of metaphor,and concludes that the main factors that influence the translation of metaphor are context.The fifth part is the overall review of the paper.According to the conclusions of the previous two chapters,it points out the areas for improvement in the research.Taking 《camel xiangzi 》as the research object,this paper aims to analyze the translation methods and factors of Chinese metaphors when they are translated into uygur,so as to provide some references for the future translation of metaphors in similar subjects.
