With the rapid development of the global economy, competition between every country in the world is intensifying, and the development of the cultural industry has been valued by all countries in the world. In the competition of overall national strength, culture has become a key factor.Today’s fierce international trade competition has resulted in the space for the development of goods trade being squeezed and almost saturated. However, the field of trade includes not only traditional goods trade, but also cultural trade. The difference between cultural trade and traditional goods trade is that companies do not have to reduce costs and gain market competitiveness, but can focus on increasing the added value of products.More ideas and ideas can be injected without having to invest too much in basic costs.Higher returns. At the same time,it can promote the revitalization of the cultural industry and optimize the trade structure to achieve a shift from a traditional goods trade to a diversified trade. Not only that,we may also receive dividends from cultural penetration, spread Chinese culture and national values through cultural trade, and allow more countries and regions around the world to become interested and yearn for Chinese culture, which can accelerate the promotion of China’s international status To form a comprehensive and in-depth international influence.China has become the second largest economy in the world and plays a huge role in international trade, but the development of China’s cultural trade is still in its infancy.Cultural distance is an important factor affecting cultural trade, and political factors are also not available. In this paper, based on the results of previous studies, the theoretical analysis of the influence of cultural distance and political relations on cultural trade.Analyze the scale, type and regional structure of China’s cultural trade. At the same time,it conducts comparative research with the cultural development of the United States, looking for the problems and causes of Chinese cultural trade. This article uses the gravity model to explore the influence of cultural distance on cultural trade, and to verify the influence of political relations on it.Through research,it is found that although the overall scale of China’s cultural trade is relatively large, the proportion of products and services is unbalanced, and the trade of core cultural products is relatively small, which is inconsistent with China’s 5000-year history as a great power. In addition,China’s cultural trade structure also has imbalanced issues. The distribution of cultural products and services is unreasonable, and its competitiveness is not strong internationally. The reasons for these may be the lack of leading cultural enterprises, insufficient protection of cultural knowledge products, weak technological innovation, and low market concentration.Through empirical testing,it is found that cultural distance has a negative impact on both cultural product trade and cultural service trade.Further selecting four main types of cultural products for analysis,it is found that regardless of import and export, cultural distance is significantly negatively correlated. At the same time,it is found that political relations will weaken the negative influence of cultural distance. Finally, based on the status quo and empirical research, combining various issues with trade impacts,we put forward effective opinions and suggestions on cultural scale and cultural structure.
